If anything, let immigration know that you were not providence nominated, and as such, you have changed
your settlement plans and will remain in Toronto.


My COPR said Calgary but I am going to settle in Toronto.

Successfully done landing at Sumas border crossing, Abbotsford on 4th June...Everything went smooth... ;D Very happy..

Hi guys, an update to my questions, i got my PPR request today 8 June 2016.

1. Am i supposed to be seeing any updates in my profile? cos im only gettin an email titled "Ready for visa" in my email inbox.
2. i have to send my passports to CVAC singapore but i cant seem to find the instructions in the link provided www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/singapore/ , can someone please assist?

1. No, there won't be any change until the VO issues the COPR.
2. If you are in Singapore, you can personally drop off your requirements at the VFS location: http://www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/singapore/contact_us.html
If you are not in Singapore or Canada, or if you are far from the VFS, you can courier your requirements to VFS Singapore including a manager's check for the payment. Contact them for the exact amount to confirm, including the courier for returning the passport to you.
The rates and instructions are on this page: http://www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/singapore/Service_and_Service_Charge.html but you should look at the rates for Secure transmission.

If you are in Canada or the US, you can send it to CPC-Ottawa.

I got my passport request on June 3rd. And I sent my passport on the same day.

What a sigh of relief!! Thank you everyone for all your support and help!!

i submitted my application as single applicant in november and showed them funds in SAR which was 45158 which if we convert using the rates on google is 15292 CAD.

how ever as my family composition changed to two as i got married i didnt send them updated proof of funds as the old one should be fine to meet the min requirement of 15143 CAD.

but do you think they will use a different calculator coz even a slight change in rate will make me fall below min required funds.

what do you suggest? shall i send a new bank statement or just wait?

Congratulations on your Marriage! Have you already sent all the docs for your partner? If not then in my opinion you should send the updated POF also! That will be good.

Its no problem at all. You wont proceed for PR landing unless you tell CIC so explicitly. While you haven't landed and you have a valid work permit plus TRV (CIC won't cancel trv on passport as a worker), you can come to Canada as many times as needed using your worker TRV

Bellaluna, Do you have any info about how much time taken by Singapore VO to stamp PR VISA? My wife has submitted her passport from Bangladesh on 8 May, Singapore (Spore) VO received it on 11 May. Since then, there is no update. I called CIC, they said they have no control over local VO. I have emailed Spore VO with my CoPR but no response yet. Any suggestion what to do?
