From my experience and the shared collective:
- I do not think that calling them, raising CSEs, or asking for GCMS notes will affect your application negatively.
- However, as some have mentioned, it's unclear in some cases whether this helps. It may ease our worries though!
- My legal person calledon my behalf and got a very nice person who assured that everything was ok, and to just wait. Seems a bit of a lottery what they tell you and as you can see, some folks have been told wild, crazy deadlines and some have had nice reassurances.

CIC called me today (???). They asked if I can land untill December 25th? I replied that I can land next week if needed. Otherwise, I have to do the medical again. They said: Your application is approved and you'll recive e-mail very soon, today or tomorrow.
I have never heard before that they actually called someone.
I feel much better now, stress is gone...

So your medicals expire next week and you were not asked to redo them? That's great! Because mine will expire in January and I was wondeting if I'd have to redo them. I really don't want to.

Are you CEC inlander? When's your aor?

At least you are able to get some new information about your application, hopefully you'll get ppr soon. If I may ask did you apply from within Canada or outside?

I am based outside of Canada but used a lawyer in Canada to file my application from within Canada. Not sure what that classifies me under.

I'm trying to think whether our countries of origin has anything to do with the delay in processing our files. So I can see 3 Pakistanis and me the Turk. I'm talking about FSW applicants of course. Could that have anuthing to do with where we're from? Or is it just that CEC applicants are processed faster?

I don't think so. Or rather I would like to think that is not the case. the fact that our applications are processed outside of our country of origin probably contributes to a longer processing time. I am not too worried and neither should you; it will come through - just a matter of when, which is what keeps us on the edge.

If you have been following the threads on this forum, you'll know that a few weeks ago CEC applicants were getting absolutely no PPR requests for a while while it was raining PPR's for FSW category in that particular week (AOR's Mar 1 - Mar 15). Now all we are seeing this week are CEC's PPR requests. I think they go in cycles for different categories. If truth be told, there are so many variables, there is no one pattern that is a surety, lol. Just hang in there, and keep positive. Hopefully it comes in the next round of FSW PPR requests for us.
