The eAOR was never the start of the so called "6 month waiting period" but given that the assessment as to the completeness of your application is done soon after you get your eAOR, that date has been used by applicants as a rough estimate to determine the 6 month waiting period. i would be interested to know how many days, on average it takes between eAOR and R10 promotion. can people who have ordered their GCMS notes provide an insight into this please?

R10 takes less than a week, mine took 4 days.

10 days in my case.

there you go, hence the eAOR still provides a close enough estimate to the 6 month waiting period.

Yes close... but not totally accurate. Today, based on my AOR I am over 6 months, but based on R10 I am not. That gives me some hope that Tuesday could be an important day for me.

10 days is enough difference... in my case.

My eAOR is March 17 but my positive eligibilty assesment was passed on April 29, 2016 its more than one month from my eAOR if I will base on that my 6 mons is today. So let's see on Tuesday.

Your case will be very interesting to see if you get PPR on Tuesday... I suspect you might and that will certainly change the way people look at their processing times... Makes ordering GCMS notes between 3-6 months even more interesting. So from 3 cases alone we have see 4 days, 10 days and just over 6 weeks between AOR and R10.

Got my GCMS notes with this at the bottom of the notes ``Advised that b/g, meds and eleig completed, pending officer's reviewCC 3736`` I dont know what the hell he is waiting or who he is waiting to review my file, its frustrating...

In my case AOR was 3-Mar and R10 was 10-Aug.

hmm, that's quite a big gap. were you requested to submit additional documents after your AOR?

It was because on the initial review, the visa officer did not clear eligibility. A senior officer had to review the case and apply exemption to section A11.2: candidates whose birthday occurs after they receive an ITA and before AOR. A senior officer finally reviewed the case on 10-Aug.

interesting. so technically, your 6 month period began Aug 10 then - wow, all because the exemption wasn't reviewed and updated...crazy.

Is it true? Does the 6 month clock start from your eligibility (R10) approvals?

max R10 will be done in a week or 10days for most of the applicants it makes a week difference to 6months clock, mine was done in less than a week, its 6months on oct 19th as per AOR, 6months on oct25 as per R10, 6months as on oct27th as per A11.2 met, and 6months 2 days as on today since file moved to delhi !!!
