Got the email for PPR at 5:17 AM
CEC Inland with AINP submitted with AOR on 13th March 2016. It was well within 6 months processing time. Thanks guys for all your support ... so relieving you get to see this email after 6 years in Canada.... Let me know if you have any questions ... processing office is Ottawa and have to submit passport within 30 days of the email with photos and a copy of a letter with self addressed envelope .

The recent draw has seen 1000 invites with a drop of CRS points to 491.
Does this mean that the CIC is done processing the backlog and ready to move on to the current cases..?
Any impact on the processing times for the current applications..?

Well yes, they must have cleared the backlog to quite an extent. However, they also have to achieve annual immigration numbers. So eventually the number of ITAs issued had to go up, irrespective of the backlog. May be hired more agents or managed it swiftly.
NDVO though still seems to be lagging behind! Hope they pick up more pace.

I haven't heard any news from CIC after my BG check went in progress on Aug 05. Anyone who is AOR March 19th or close has received the PPR?

I am just trying to find out if anyone with AOR March 19th or later has received the passport request yet or no?

Any help would be really appreciated.

Looking at the current trend...cec applications do seem to be proceeding a bit slowly. You just need to be patient. Hope you a ppr soon.

There's a few people with early March AOR in the spreadsheet that we don't see around... They may have got their PPRs already and we'll never know
