Don't worry, your nomination is very much valid no matter how much time it takes to process this application. However. if God forbid this application is rejected, you will not be able to use the nomination points for refilling the new application. Hope this helps.
Thank u for the answer. I hope everything goes smooth.having waited for almost 2 years,if it gets rejected then no point again trying, as OINP itself takes 1 year for nomination and cic another 6 months, I think it's not worth it..I scored only 416 points

Have you ordered GCMS notes to see the reason for the delay? I suspect its because of "Security Screening" given your travel history.
Hello, I did not order them yet as i was hoping to get PPR anytime after 19th May. Not sure if it is worth ordering them now :(

Ours too is same deadline... I hope with extensive travel, BGIP2 will not take more than a month. So we should expect it anytime between 15th June to 15th July.

Hi sharma786,

What is your timeline? When did you filed your application? Are you a PNP Outland? My 180 deadline will be over by 23rd July.

Hi shahshar,

From your timeline I can see that you too are PNP Outland candidate. Have your bg check started from IP1 to IP2?

Unless your order your notes, you can only speculate where you are within the process. My notes were generated on May 19 and I learned that my Security hasn't started yet. So I know I am in it for the long haul - at least the whole 6 months.

But why they are taking so long. Day by day, its like all our patience is already lost. How long does it actually take for a security check.

I think it comes down to the processing system. If they have all the information available to them, they are able to fly through the process. But if they hit a road block, in my case my wife's NZ PCC, then they put the application to the side and move on to the next one. Even if they receive the information or document that halted their process previously, it's not like they begin working on it again. It remains off to the side until they remember or are reminded to look at it. My case again, my wife's NZ PCC was obtained on February 22 but they haven't looked at it yet.

I share similar experience with my PCC too... it took 10 weeks from applying the PCC to IRCC to confirming that they have received it.

I think you're correct on this. In my GCMS notes, it was called a "parked" application, where they set the app aside due to all the necessary info/docs they need not yet arriving. Then they come back to look at the app at a later date to reassess. This happened twice on my application, and it appears if your app gets parked due to all the info not being there, it could be months before they come back to look at your app.

Exactly. Probably the smooth sailing applications fall under the "80% completed in under 6 months". While our slightly off the usual course applications are the unlucky 20%.
