Similar timeline. Went into BG-IP(1) on Feb 26th and not a single change since then. I've ordered GCMS notes on April 12th, so it should be delivered soon. I will let everyone here know what's going on with my case as well.

Do you have any prior military or government service?

What about travel history?

Hi Imam,

Glad to here from you. Well my visa office is New Delhi. Most of the time Ive heard they take a lot of time. Could you please tell what actually it says about your bg check I mean. My bg check shows as : Your application is in progress, next step is backgroud check. This status is since the first day no change in my application after medicals passed.

So how can you convince them without job description on company letterhead? Please share

when I submitted my application, I couldn't get hold of any of my former colleague to write a reference letter for me. I attached all the documents I ever got from the company (initial employment letter that indicated my start date, terms and conditions of employment, pay, hours, job title and benefits but no duties; confirmation letter; letter of introduction I got from them when applying for my student visa; and six months pay stubs I also got when applying for my visa). I wrote a letter of explanation telling them about my condition and I also stated my duties in the the letter of explanation. After I submitted my application, I was able to get a colleague to write a letter on a plain paper. The letter stated my job duties and responsibilities, he aslo attached his business card. I wanted to notarize the letter but the notary officer (lawyer) said my colleague had to sign the letter in his presence, instead I drafted a letter saying everything in the letter from my colleague is true to the best of my knowledge. He put his seal on the letter. I submited the documents by raising a CSE.

I received my offer letter last week only and as per the letter I will be receiving my salary w.e.f Aug 2017 only.Even my post and change in level will be w.e.f Aug 2017 . However the post has changed in the company system.

Please advise if I need to inform CIC regarding the change now or only by Aug(i.e.if there is no change in my file uptil then)

No government or military service, and no complicated travel history (Canada is the only place I traveled to).

I don't really see the need to inform CIC of the change at all. I could be mistaken but changes that CIC need to be kept up-to-date involve: personal status matters, change of contact details, or loss of a Canada job offer or PN (anything that would cause your CRS to go down). As long as all the information you provided when you submitted your application was accurate at that time, I do not see the need to inform CIC.

I know it may be frustrating but look at it this way - you are not alone. As per the tracker, other PNP Inlands seem to be in the same situation. Maybe try giving CIC a call.
