do you have depends? how many jobs you had?
for me i have two depends and 5 jobs in the past; i guess mine would take longer than average
i have the simplest possible case...one current job...no dependants....just me...hopefully it does not take longer for anybody... :)

no...but what does your BG status say?

usually when your medical passes..your BG status would change to : Your app. is in process. next step is to conduct background check.
(it may happen on the same day when medicals passed or sometime close to it). During this time CIO will do Your R10 and A11.2 checks.
after it is completed your status shall change to BG: Not Applicable. And then your file is transferred to CPC. where i will go final processing and your BG status will change to: we are processing your background check. once you see this update..PPR is around the corner.
hope this helped.

Sorry, I'm confused. I thought the BG status changes to "we are processing your background check" the same day when medicals passed, for most CEC applicants, without "your app. is in process" status.

the case you are talking about is possible..and it can happen when the applicant submits RCMP upfront... i have seen some cases where the status did not change at all and PPR was issued...it might differ from case to case as well as from CIO to CIO...sometimes CIO does not change your BG status and your file is transferred to LVO for final processing...so anything is possible with CIC...like in my case my status changed from Next step in to conduct BG check to Processing your BG check without ever changing to NA or NN.

Hi Harmanm, so when people are talking about IP1 -> IP2, they are actually referring to different IP status? My BG changed to "We are currently processing you BG check, we will let you know if we need any additional information" on the same day medical passed. Is this a IP2 or IP1? BTW I did not submit Rcmp upfront

When I saw people talking abt IP1 ->IP2, I actually thought they meant the exact same status showing 1st time and 2nd time.
