For CEC it usually takes from 60 -90 days to see meds passed... Initially it takes a long time but then it goes quite swiftly.

Do you know if this is true for FSW-inland too?

FYI: even though my meds passed two days ago, i never received the CIC email indicating there was an update in my account.
lesson learned: don't rely on emails and check your profile regularly, especially if CIC is requesting additional docs or something...
My medicals were passed yesterday morning, one thing i noticed is that the application status was submitted, not updated, i clicked it anyway and saw that the medicals were passed, and I didn't receive any email about it today.

Maybe the officers have some sort of checkbox or button to click when they update and they don't always do so.

Reminders:
AOR 4th of Jan
Category: PNP-O Outland
Current statuses:

Application/profile status Open
Review of eligibility Review in Progress
Review of medical results Passed (8th of Feb, additional tests and cardiologist report requested 15th of Jan)
Review of submitted documents No additional documents are needed at this time (5th of Jan)
Scheduling an interview Not needed at this time
A background check is needed Not Started (5th of Jan)
Final decision Not Started

Hello Folks,

I have a question. My Wife is the Primary Applicant in FSW-Outland (residing in US currently) and AOR of 2nd Jan (Medical Test NOT Passed Yet). She got her medical done before submitting the application. We uploaded only her medical results (the sheet which we got from the doctor)

We had planned to get mine and our sonnewborn son's upfront medical done too with her. But the doctor told us that there is a new circular from CIC that as of 17th Dec'2016 I guess, only the Primary applicant can get the Upfront Medical Exam done. Further the doc suggested to let CIC send us the information for me and my son when they need our medical results too.

Does this information makes sense to other members in this group? Or should i be calling CIC to get clarification on this? Is there any number where we can reach CIC at our application's current stage?

Thanks a bunch
You Guys are doing an awesome job sharing your application progress!

Well if you've already submitted your application to IRCC and stated that you're waiting for a request so that you and your son can go and get medicals I suppose you should wait for them to send you the request... That circular has caused a lot of confusion as most here think it's only for Family Class and not Economy Class (the class for Skilled Labour). Your other option is to go ahead and do the medicals for you as Worker Non EDE and you son as Visitor Non EDE and submit those via CSE.

But best to call IRCC and follow their instructions I suppose.

Bear in mind US residents get a similar treatment to Inland people, that's to say medicals take a long time to pass!

Thanks for such a quick response Buddy. And pardon me coz I am still catching up with a lot of Lingo. What acronym is EDE"?
Also is there a number on which I can call IRCC from US?

EDE - Excessive Demand Exempt

The 1-888 number for IRCC only works within Canada, but apparently you can call it using google hangouts and some other methods... But I've never tried so do a search on the forum (or google) ;)

Try the numbers on this post: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/how-to-reach-cic-call-centre-toll-free-number-from-outside-canada-t24877.0.html
However its a very old post so I'm not sure if it still works..

I've been going through other AOR threads and I have noticed that PNP applicants usually take more time to get a PPR. Any idea why? I imagined that if anything, it would take less time for their application to be processed.

Well it didn't used to be like this, apparently a year ago PNP's had the fast track...

When you look at it PNPs have to do an extra check, in the A11.2 IRCC needs to confirm with the province if everything is OK with the nomination (this is where such PNP as OINP that have minimum criteria like remaining above 400 CRS will recheck to see if the candidate still meets the criteria).

Now, my guess is that in the past CIC were less thorough with the standard checks (like duties vs NOC, funds etc.) that the province already verified, where as now their are being just as thorough with PNPs as with the other classes so since PNP have an extra check they/we take longer. :(
