CIC decides where each application will be finalized, depending on workload distribution. So you might think your file is somewhere while it is somewhere else. The only way to confirm is either by email or call to them.

CIO, Sydney NS does completeness check and A11.2.
Medicals are evaluated by RMO and results are also uploaded by RMO.
Medical passed > R10 check(including criminality gets passed here) > A11.2 done by case Analyst then file transferred to LVO where it will be finalized.

Hey,

I would recommend just going to a police station and doing it there. No need to pay the fee at all since it's free if you do it at a police station. I live in Ontario so I went to an OPP station and got it done. (Make sure you go to one that has the electronic fingerprinting. Perhaps call in advance to ask them if they do)

I got an RCMP request on Friday Feb 24th. I couldn't go on that day so I went on Monday Feb 27th. Exactly a week later by Monday Mar 6th I had the RCMP envelope in my mailbox. Keep in mind that I live in the middle of no where so if you live in a relatively big city then you'll probably get it sooner.

When you get it, I used the DCN number for the number that they request. As for the expiry date I put 6 months ahead of the issue date.

I am far from Toronto, I went to a station in Kapuskasing. With that being said I think any station in Toronto should be faster.

Also if they ask you to pay the $51 fee, tell them that there is no fee if the request is coming from IRCC.

Oooh is it. Lol and here i thought there is a mandatory fee. Anyway, I haven't been requested for an RCMP request but preparing myself for it nonetheless. Was going to go to Commissionaires until your information. So they do the whole fingerprint check everything eh.Nice

Just got an email :

Your application is being processed in Case Processing Centre: Sydney, Nova Scotia.


I thought in Sydney is the CIO and not the CPC or I am wrong ?? Is it also possible the the car processing is Sydney too?? I'm CEC Inland . that means my file already transferred and R10 and A112 are done and passed.
