I didn't know, I have to "ASK" for visa office. I assumed since I am in Canada, my visa office will be Ottawa.
Please care to elaborate on this.

there are two offices where CEC applications typically go. First they processed in Sydney Nova Scotia for preliminary checks and then come to Ottawa for finalization.
By knowing that where is your file, can give you an idea at which stage your file might be.


Its not necessary but usually applicants ask cic.

emails for updates are usually sent after or within 24 hours/next day .and in some cases people don't get emails at all for that .

Good to know, is it something I should call CIC(30-45mins wait) for and ask them, because sometimes I feel they just forgot to update status. For most people the BGS changes when Medicals passed(not for me apparently).

Also, how long it takes from sydney->ottawa->PPR usually?
