Hi , how come your BG not in progress by gcms notes finished security and criminality. whats the difference between background and security check?

I have also seen cases where BG never goes into progress, but those are usually from people getting fast PPRs, really early into the proces..

My last GCMS showed they have finished all of my checks, securtiy, criminality, medical, everything done.. the were reassesing our application beacuse I added my familly as accomapnying later in the proces, but even this was more than a month ago., so now I really don't see why there is a delay.

With my medical expiring soon, I really wish I get some update soon..

I just checked my application through MyCIC. In the details columns said "Updated". I even got goosebumps! But nothing has changed. Still BG in progress!

Do you think this means they have at least accessed my application? I hope so!

Yes they did and may b u gonna get ppr too

No updates on our application yet, but Friend of mine who applied for PR via EE, got their ppr request after 8 months and 3 weeks. Since they were waiting for this long, they've contacted MP in their province and he was told by CIC that it takes that long because of additional security check since there is an army service in personal history. Army service was mandatory in our country until few or more years ago.

But ours application are simple no military thing no adverse information everything is goo in gcms notes still waiting, agents sying everything fine no refusal just follow up your email but nothing dont know where and how ours application just stuck
