Long time reader here, though I rarely posted.
We got our PPR yesterday and I just wanted to say thanks to all of you on here. You really helped with a lot of questions and kept things postive for those of us waiting. Cheers, and good luck for those of you still waiting. Not long to go now!

Hey guys- Ive been monitoring this forum everyday for 6 months and id thought id just pop in to say good luck to everyone still waiting for PPR. I received mine on monday!

I just had a query regarding what exactly to send to my local office- if your country is visa exempt (like mine) then you only have to send a photocopy of the photo page of your passport. However, im not planning to travel to canada until April which is after they bring in the requirement for a visa (Mid-march)- so do you recommend i still send a photocopy as opposed to my passport? Im planning on sending my stuff in this week. Any help would be appreciated. My timeline is below for reference:

FSW OUTLAND
AOR- 7th August
Background check in progress- Mid November
PPR- 18th January

Congrats on the PPR.
If your country is visa exempt, you can submit only photocopies. It doesn't matter when you are travelling to Canada. Hope this clears it up for you.

@OnTheRoadAgain14 Congrats on your PPR!! Let me try to answer clearly your query: if in this moment your country is non exempt, you should send your passport to the VO indicated in your PPR letter. If your country is already exempt, then you just have to send them photocopies. It doesn't matter when you are going to Canada. But, just to be sure, you'd better call the Canadian Embassy in your country to get more information.

Bad news people, just got a rejection letter from CIC for not having enough funds!

I had clearly uploaded a summary of my fixed deposits which amount to about 25,000 CAD alone, besides which my saving account shows funds of 13,000 CAD.

Can anyone advise me on what can I do next?

I remember Asivad had the same issue, if you could reply, that would be great!

Can you pose the rejection letter excluding your personal details, so that a clear understanding can be formed as to the reason for rejection.

What I am seeing is (out of last 2 weeks observation), they release PNP PPR's in batches every Thursday from Ottawa. Hopefully, you should get yours next week. i hope you are inland.

Mine is same. AOR Aug 25. BG Check did not start.
