I used Skype. Well I had to pay $10 subscription of the Skype credits. I consumed $3 if I'm not mistaken.

The second agent who accommodated me even joked that obviously Im calling overseas because there's a gap in our conversation, we have to wait for a few seconds

Hey fellow Augusters... so I got the GCMS note today and it's really uneventful (on in other terms underwhelming).. I wish I had waited a week before ordering...
I submitted the order online on Nov 19th... CIC received the request, and generated the report on Nov 23rd (just two days before my BG check went into progress, Nov 25th)... The last and only note I have (pasted below) is dated Nov 9th... On Page 2, under Application Assignment there's a "due date" of Dec 13th 2015 (honestly i've seen so many fellow applicants pass their deadline by several weeks without any action, so I don't think the deadlines mean anything to us).

I wish they had received my request just 3 days later, because I would have probably been able to see how and why my BG went into progress. I'm theorizing that they had a note on Nov 24th or Nov 25th when my BG went into progress.

The only meaningful note that I have indicates that my education and police reports are OK. Unfortunately it doesn't mention my NOC code or work experience. I'll have to wait for my newly ordered GCMS notes which I expect to receive in late January. Hopefully there will be an explicit mention of whether I passed my eligibility, and whether my NOC code was accepted or not.

Yes you're right, I also believe that the "second review" is when Bg check has started. My 2nd gcms notes will be on the 2nd week of January

Same case with me. Completeness check was only done. So the RPRF happens when the R-10 or completeness check is done. Not during eligibility test.

You mean RPRF request is also part of completeness check ?. I am under assumption that RPRf means at least 95% confirmation of the PPR. Let me know if I am wrong in my assumption.

I'm on that boat. It's what the RPRF request states. That you are eligible.

However, as soon as I received my 1st gcms notes, eligibility is not started yet.

Agents' review are more on R-10.

I don't have that eligibility review yet. So as much as I wish that it's 95% sure, I became more skeptical upon reviewing my gcms notes

Hi guys, i just wanted to point out that the RPRF letter says you have been found eligible in the program that you have applied for, I don't think any government agency can give something in writing and then go back in their words, maybe eligibility review as per the GCMS notes includes inadmissibility review as well and thus will only be passed when your other things like criminality security and medical (as mentioned in the RPRF letter) also passes that means at the very end..... I think we should try to wait calmly and not get stressed, even with the GCMS notes we really know nothing so let's wait it out.

On the bright side at least you didn't find anything negative in the notes or any misunderstandings on the agent review. Honestly I think on the "BG in Progress" day you passed the second review which is the actual VO who makes the final eligibility decision. Your new notes hopefully would show that. I am also hopeful that you would receive your PPR by mid Jan before you receive the GCMS notes.

We are all in the same boat so don't worry and good luck!

Side Note: By the way on a side note I read online that there are quotas by office and CIC offices slow down in Q3 and Q4 in terms of issuing visas and output. They do all the work but PPRs dry up. I feel this is probably the reason for the PPR slow down and we should hear in January once the new year opens up.

Honestly I think on the "BG in Progress" day you passed the second review which is the actual VO who makes the final eligibility decision. Your new notes hopefully would show that. I am also hopeful that you would receive your PPR by mid Jan before you receive the GCMS notes.

My sentiment exactly. This current protracted delay in PPR after BG in progress is unprecedented. The only logical explanation is quota limitation. In view of this, I see the July guys getting their PPRs very late in December (late enough to ensure final approval happens in January) or very early January.

I selfishly hope CIC would prioritize august guys over the old FSW (who have also been waiting for PPR since Aug) in issuing PPR. After all, cic had a 6 month processing pact with EE applicants.

It's just a bit of bad luck that you sent the request for GCMS notes a tad bit early. Atleast on the plus side your education reports and PCCs are ok.

Thank you so much for your optimism and positive thoughts... I hope you are right... and I too hold the same belief that when BG goes to in progress, it probably means the applicant was found to be eligible. I hope we're correct in our theory... next GCMS notes will tell

Poor me!!! Ever since the loss of ECAS, I had lost all interest in decision made, just going to patiently wait for PPR.

On vacation, I really don't think cic is gonna totally close shop over the festive period. Some of the agents would still work, especially weekdays (28th-31st). Remember they also have the refugees target of 10000 applicants to battle with.

Let's all hope the best at the earliest possible time.

I am a fsw outland. 4 months since medical passed. No updates so far. Aug 28aor.

After many research on how to call cic toll free number from India i managed to call them twice today.

But even after many request to explan the sitution the agent refused to comment about status or progress of my application.

Any suggestion on how to convince or request the agent to help with progress updates.
