I just received my PPR email right now :D Unexpected but lovely! I want to confirm the next steps. From my understanding I just have to mail my passport with 2 pictures and a pre-paid envelope correct? Should I mail my passport today or wait until new years because of all the holidays coming up? Thanks.

congrats :) :) :) :) ...are you inland or outland ? PNP or LMIA ?
Thanks

HEyyy Congrats to all PPR. I believe most PPR as per thread is given first to those who where never requested documents as they have complete application.

Congrafulations :)

Can all of you please confirm if your bg changed to in process and when?
Thanks :)

Relax! There is many of us waiting.

I received an email asking for my passport from CPCO (Ottawa processing office),but my EE profile still says in process.

Does this mean my PR has been approved ? (or) Does this mean a final decision will be made after receiving my passport?

I m confused because the email I received says , "The processing of your application for permanent residence in Canada is almost complete. You must complete the following steps within 30 days in order for our office to issue your Confirmation of Permanent Residence and, if applicable, permanent residence visa. If for any reason you are not able to meet this deadline, please inform us immediately by email to: CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca with details concerning your situation".

Any help on this will be very helpful....Thank you guys in advance. (FSW applicant, AOR on 22nd August)

Yes your PR has been approved! Congratulations.

I got another question for my fellow mates.

I am an applicant living in Canada on my PGWP. I am not sure if I need to send my passport to CPCO (Ottawa center) or just photocopies of my passport pages with amendments. The letter received from CIC is kind of confusing. Just want to confirm sending passport is only required for Outland applicants and not for Inland applicants. Please advise me if I need to send my passport.

If you require a visa to enter Canada:

You will need to submit the passport for you and for each accompanying family member. Your passport(s) must be valid for at least 6 months and have at least two blank pages. If a child is included on your passport, you must have one blank page per accompanying child.

Please note that if you are permanent residents of the U.S.A. AND holders of passports from countries which require visa to enter Canada, you are still required to submit your passport(s).

If you do not require a visa to enter Canada:

You will need to submit one photocopy of the photo page and any pages containing amendments of the passport for you and one for each accompanying family member. Please do not send your passport(s). Your passport(s) must be valid for at least 6 months.

Please note that Confirmation of Permanent Residence documents and permanent residence visas cannot be issued to holders of Diplomatic, Official or Military passports. You must have an ordinary passport.
