we mailed our kids Certificate of Citizenship request and it was RCv'd by Sydney on July 14th, 2010.
The same day they sent us (though we just got it in the mail today - an AOR)
I'm confused. Is this the first stage? or do they mean something else? This process is meant to take 4 months they indicate on the webiste- I did however indicate we were resettling in Oct/Nov 2010 and if it could be expedited.

ECAS is not showing anything today which isn't that surprising, it sounds like until they start the 2nd stage of processing, it won't be.Step 1:
The Case Processing Centre (CPC) reviews your application to make sure you have included the appropriate fee payment. If so, you will receive an acknowledgment letter. If not, your application will be returned to you.
Once you receive your acknowledgement letter, you can access your case status by contacting the Call Centre. This process takes approximately four (4) months from the time your application is received at the CPC.
