I've been obsessively logging into my CIC account multiple times a day for months just in case there's an update there (no mean feat given how unreliable the website is), but suddenly it dawned on me: is this a total waste of time?

For PPR, do you get an email first, or do you get an update in your online account first? Should I just be obsessively checking my email instead?

lol I check once a week, for Ottawa u mostly get a mail, some VOs u just get a message in ur CIC

I check it every day also. It's more of a compulsion than anything else. Sometimes your CIC account will be updated, but you won't get an email for a day or two alerting you to the change. Happened for my BOWP. So I'm happy I checked.

Called up CIC last Friday to inquire about my visa office and was surprised to get an update on my application from the agent.

FSW Inland
VO - Ottawa
AOR - April 7, 2016
BG went to 'In progress' on Aug 23, 2016

Still waiting for PPR

The agent however told me that my application is pending 'Final Review' by an officer and everything else has passed.

Not sure if anyone else in this thread has experience something like this (to get an update from the agent)!!

We have same timeline. Still wait for PPR as well, I think we will get it same time.

Wait for PPR is over ...got PPR request today well within 6 months time frame ...unlike what I read in certain posts it was not a mail with the subject Ready For Visa...It was just an email notifying that I have a message in my Cic account!!...Guys need your guidance for future course of action with regards to VFS.
