AOR and SA

Hey everyone, my application arrived at Case Processing in Mississauga on 10th April 2017 and I recieved a text message from IRCC confirming they had recieved it and that I would get a letter or email when processing begins.

What do they mean by processing? Do they mean they'll inform me when they are starting to review my application or will it be a letter informing me about my Sponsors Eligibility?

What is the usual time frame for the processing letter and the sponsorship eligibility approval letter? Thanks

Proccessing begins when they open ur file and see that nothing is missing and everithing is there as required ..then they will send u an email acknowledging that they have started to review ur application ..

Okay perfect thank you for that information, I'd say I'll probably get that around end of May? Just trying to get an idea!

u can join the april 2017 thread ..there they have a spreadsheet where u can keep track of other peoples timeline who applied same time like u nd u can get a general idea .. however ususally AOR comes within 2 weeks .. nd sponsorship approval can take upto one month but recently everyone is getting that sooner ..we got that within 16-17 days ..

Okay so from the time you recieve the AOR letter or email generally around a month after you will find out the eligibility of the sponsor? I am nearing the two week stage soon for the AOR.

I wouldn't take the 'two weeks' as 'gospel'. It can take longer - 4 or 6 weeks. It is all a bit hit-and-miss. No one know why timescales can vary so much by individual applications. MY own application took 3 weeks to AOR and two months from receipt to sponsor approval, but that was under the 'old system'.

Today marks a month since my process started and I am still waiting for Sponsor approval. Hopefully it comes soon. I already submitted my Schedule A by mail and in one week they started the background check. So hopefully everything goes smooth and in a timely matter. Just monitoring my online account frequently for updates.
