Just curious if anyone has been invited to take the Oath of Citizenship and Not needed to do the test? I know I can't be the only person on here that is not required to take the test due to age, and has Not been interviewed in person since the pandemic closed everything down.
I have been in process since November 5, 2019 and I am still waiting for the next step.
Anyone else?..???

Yes. I didnt need to take the test but was interviewed online. Same thing as the test/interview without the test. A few questions and ID check. I have my Oath ceremony on Tuesday

Schuffi. Could you please explain your timeline for me? When did you apply? Where was your application processed? When did you have your interview? Thank you

Hi, I applied through Canadian Forces route so not typical. I applied in jan 20, in process Sep, interview Dec 20. Moved to DM this week and Oath notice yesterday for next Tuesday. At the interview I was warned there may be a delay with security clearance but that seems to have opened up. I think this will all start moving for everyone now.

Schuffi. Thank you for your time and information. I am in hopes that the processing stage of the application process is speeding up. I have been in process since November 2019 and don't have much hope that they will get their act together and get my application done, but I can hope. CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR CITIZENSHIP.

I've felt the same. These Forces Applications were known to take around 3 months flash to bang in 2019 and before. My view is that they've worked out how to overcome the Covid difficulties interview/test and Oath so they'll be catching up. Don't lose hope, I know how you feel. I was told security clearance could take months and months but it ended up being around 6 weeks . Once you get an immigration officer assigned to your file they are pretty helpful at least The Calgary team are.
