Hi all! There is a fair share of such "2283 vs. 2173" threads, but none of them seems to contain the OP getting back with the actual result.
So the long story short: I'm at 469, no Canadian Experience (hence no WP and corresponding NOC). My experience consists of Testing Engineer, Team Leader and Test Manager and as far as the duties and responsibilities are concerned, 2283 seems to be my NOC.
However, when filling the Job Bank account, once I put in the title "Test Engineer" it only allows to choose NOC 2173.

Can anyone confirm here that they have successfully gone all the way up to landing with the NOC 2283?

Thanks in advance

Even if noone replies, 2283 is skill B and therefore fully qualified as skilled work experience. If you can prove you have the experience you claim in that NOC, as well as all other requirementz, you will be successful.

Also type in the title for NOC 2283 into job bank if you want to allocate that to yourself, your job title doesn't matter but your duties have to match.

2283 would absolutely work for you. Software testers are 2283.

Hey
I am one of you people. I applied using 2283 and I am a software tester. It will work as our duties will be matched with this NOC only. Don't worry and apply against 2283. Best of luck

Hi Vishal,
Could you please tell me what proof you need to show to prove your NOC 2283? Thanks in advance,

Hi there, I know its very old thread, but my situation matches with yours'. I am Automation Software testing professional, I applied under 2283-B category, I received ITA and we applied for PR. But we didn't hear anything back from IRCC yet, however people applied in Category A NOC codes with same timelines already got their Passport Request mails. I am wondering does NOC code really matter with processing time of PR application? Could you please throw your experience here? Thanks in advance.
