Anyone doing PR application and planning to live in Edmonton, Alberta?

I have not received my PR card... I currently live in alberta and have sent my pr application to buffalo... still waiting for reply...
 
I am planning to move into Calgary. I am on my initial stage now. I send my visa application to NS on May 10 and they received on the May 17th, 2010. Just waiting to hear from the Delhi office for doc request.

I am working in a Canadain company based in Calgary and got some friends living there. They offered me their help to find oppertunities in Calgary. Thats my reason to choose Alberta. And more over that healthcare and job oppertunities in the Oil and gas field is more in Alberta than in the other provinces as per I heared from the people living there. I am basically a Maintenance Planner working for an oil and gas company and hope to work in the same industry in canada.

Over here they rent by rooms, to any gender unless specified (if it is for university students)... so if your looking to rent a room in a house it can be anywhere from 300 to 600 dollars (depending on the room and the facilities they provide you) plus or including heat, water, electricity.

For a family room (im assuming a bigger room) it can be from 500 - 1000 dollars.

Hope this helps you can go to www.kijiji.ca and change the city to Edmonton, AB (Edmonton area) and look under housing.

Can you pl guide me what is the scenario in banking jobs in edmonton esp wrt mortgage jobs in banking sector as i am working in the same sector in india in a pvt bank here.
