Anyone applied work permit online as a refugee claimant in 2019?

You've been in Canada since at least 2016 on a student permit but didn't complete your studies, then tried to get a closed work permit and now you've filed for asylum. India asylum seekers don't have a high rate of acceptance plus you've been in Canada for so long it will be very hard to prove persecution. Having a failed asylum claim can really affect your ability to travel.

In the meantime, appeared to hire a crooked agent who promised an LMIA and then likely hired a crooked lawyer who apparently threatened to extort the OP.

This person's case is going in a sad direction.
