Same is the case with me. By the time I planned for studying in Canada, most of the universities' fall deadline were over. Hence, I just applied at UVic. I tried contacting professors but none of them replied. Chances look really bleak now.
Try contacting memorial university of Newfoundland. Maybe their admission deadline might have passed but you can contact the admission office and ask for help. They will surely help you out.

You guys must have something great in your profile that were so sure about uvic, anyways I contacted a senior at uvic, and he said it is very selective and he himself got in his second try, by managing a supervisor. He also had admit in Waterloo,MMsc program. Also uvic has less seats available for international students. All the best!!

No man. It was just bad timing. I should have started planning earlier i.e December-January instead of mid-March.

Actually by the time, I decided to apply for Fall intake, deadlines of all universities were passed. So Uvic I the only hope for me as of now.

Sure , ur profile is good, u clear their minimum requirements. If they told u to contact a supervisor, then u shud, unless , no need. Uvic is very selective and prefer domestic students,so better to keep other backup options as well. All the best.

Hmm, now I will apply for 4-4 universities in jan intake once the result of uvic is out.

hi Rinky
I never meant to discourage you, I was just telling the current scenario as of i found out and heard of. Yes applying to few more universities wud be great. I hope u get in uvic too . All the best!! :)

Its been nearly 2 weeks, still the status has not changed:( . I am getting very depressed.

Hey
I think it is department recommendation, now ur file is transferred to the graduate records . They wud give u conditional offer as soon as they process it. It took around 1-2 weeks for most applicants who got admit.

To Get Admission Offer from You UVic, Start Emailing the Professors to Accept You in Supervision. Send them Your Resume, Transcript any Related work You can Show. University as itself Does not accept Students Unless and Until a Professor agrees to accept you as Student. :) ::)

Hey WaseemWasii,

I applied for MTIS program. For that, Professor/Supervisor approval not needed. That's what i came to know from their site.

Thanks
