Anyone applied for OWP without AOR?

Hi again

I see it takes at least 60 days to get AOR from CIC. My work permit gonna expire in the end of February 2015. My employer tells me to apply to extend it now. But I still don't have AOR therefore I guess I cant apply for Open work permit. Am I still eligible to apply for open work permit without AOR from PR process?

If you have already applied for PR wait for AOR and then apply for BOWP. If your permit is close to expiring you can send a paper BOWP application that allows you time while you wait for AOR as it takes 55-60 days for a paper application to be processed. Else you can use the PNP certificate as well to extend your work permit. Depending on the province the PNP certificate has to be valid at the time you send the application to extend the work permit.
