Anyone applied a Student Permit from Philippines?

Hi, I used my BDO Dollar Account. I went to my branch and filled out the telegraphic form myself. The tellers there didn't know what to check also so I just filled out the form and copied the instructions from the Scotia Bank email. I haven't tried sending online but I think the teller needs to be the one to input the details in the system for you. If you have access to a local BDO branch, maybe you can have someone email the form to you to fill out and submit this to your bank? Or maybe you can ask the bank branch mismo so you can process the transfer? Initially, I had apprehension na baka may mali akong nasulat or part na hindi na-fill out. I was told that I'd be informed kung unsuccessful yung transfer but within the week, I got the email na from Scotia Bank. I have my copy of the telegraphic transfer form that I can share but it will take time because I have to type that out kasi copy lang (so medyo unreadable) plus I have to blur out my details.

Ask ko lang, what if bnigyan ako ng 2years na visa ng embassy.. pero gusto ko lang mag-aral ng 1 year, pero kasi sabi nila better if 2years ako mag study then 3years yung pagwwork ko and then road to pr na siya dba. kaso lang Di ko naya magbayad ng tuition next year. May iba pbang way para mkapag stay pa? hanap ba ko ng employer or what?

Hello! Yes, it is always safer to take a 2 year program to qualify for a 3 year pgwp. One of the reason being is minsan po kasi natatagalan ang freshgrad makahanap ng work. Maswerte po ako na before graduation may nahanao na ako work pero almost half pa po ng classmates namin is survival jobs pa din and we finished April 2017 so that gives you an idea na if 1 year lang ang pgwp mo, baka kapusin ka sa oras in meeting the requirements of CEC under express entry. Unless ofcourse nagpakasal kayo, or fpund an employer that will sponsor a work permit when your ogwp expires tapos hindi pa kayo PR or at the minimum, hindi pa kayo nakapag submit ng post ITA documents po.

Yes. As long as the account is legitimate and has proof that you readily have access to it (like joint accounts, etc). Kami po noon ga 4 na accoint po yata pinakita namin. Goodluck!

Hello po, confirm ko lang po kung ung bank certificate ng bdo nakalagay kung kelan po nagopen ng account. what if kung 3 mos lang po ung account ko at maglagay po ako ng atleast 1m. malalaman po ba ng VO un? salamat po sa magrereply

Hello, it is best to use an older existing account po rather than creating an account just for the application. The best approach is also explain where the funds are coming from para hindi na po sila mag request ng additional info or worse magduda at madeny kayo. May indication sa certification man or wala if kelan na open ang account, the VO can easily check your records and as long as you can explain where it was coming from kung kunyari biglang laki, then it should be fine. As an example, meron po applicant dito na nagbenta ng kitse kaya bigla nagkaroon ng 1M plus yung account niya pero binangit niya sa letter niya yun kaya wala naman naging issue.

Just to share how serious they are in checking an applicant's file here, nung nag apply po ako ng entry level part time sa isang retail store, nag ask sila ng resume and last 3 employers kahit sa pinas pa. In less than 2 weeks, sinabihan ako ng taga pilipinas na tinawagan sila ng HR ng company na yun. The cool thing was wala naman website yung pinangalingan ko na work and wala naman ako nilagay ng office phone numbers pero nahabap pa din nila. So imagine an application for a part time entry level job went to that process, all the more pag immigration na ang usapan Goodluck po!

Pwede po bang mag-apply within Canada ng student visa (which will be submitted to LA) pero thru SDS po ang application? I have read from previous posts po kasi but regular pa po kasi noon yung pag-apply, no SDS program at the time.

Yung ina-applyan ko po kasing school, they need assessments which will be done thru campus before giving the acceptance letter. I choose the school kasi willing po yung friend ko to live with their family, hence, less gastos.

First renewal of passport but huwag mo syang ipapacancel i mean ipabutas, sabihin gagamitin mo muna for visa applucation, while waiting sa release ng new passport nag apply nako ng visa with the old passport na hindi pa nabubutasan na passport, after ko mareceive yung visa with the old passport kinuha ko na yung new passport at the same time pinabutas ko na ren yung old.

Ang visa walang problema, entry permit lang naman yan, and yes the visa will follow yung validity ng passport, ang concern is study permit which is isasaby din nila sa validity ng passport, but since you have new passport, upon entry makakrecrive ka ng study permit based sa duration ng school mo.

Ask ko lang po kung meron na po sainyo nag-aaral or magapply pa sa BC, near Richmond, Vancouver po? May alam po ba kayo school na pwede ang IELTS overall band score na 6 and meron 5.5? or meron walang IELTS na school sa lugar na yan? wala po kasi ako makita na no need ang IELTS.. please help po syang po kasi un ielts test ko kung kukuha ulit ako kung meron pala na pede po yan.. Thank you for the reply sir. ang plan ko po kasi ilipat ung money ko from HK to PH bank which is BDO, i have few funds in PH, after ko humingi sana ng bank certificate dito sa HK ililipat ko ung half sa BDO then request po ako ng bank certificate. pwede po kaya un? or mas magandang isang bank account na lang. pero hk dollar kasi lalabas sa bank certificate. kung sa BDO naman po wala ako maproprovide na monthly statement. Please advise. thanks po
