Hello po, ako ulit :)

Naka-receive po ko ng email from CIC just this morning with an attachment na nakalagay po na "Your application to study in Canada has been approved.", pero hindi pa rin po naddeliver sa bahay namin yung passport ko.

At ako I.T grad. At fresh grad palng. Ang uncle ko kas yung tutulong sakin. Saknya lahat pati accomodation.

Hehe
Maraming salamat.

Ah sa tingin ko kaya sinabi nila un kasi need nga ulit mag bayad. mag babayad ka po ulit ng $130 for the application fee for the diploma program pero after 1st sem ka nalang po mag apply ulit kas for sure madami pang available slots ) basta take note pag mag eexten ka ng visa need din ng show money ah? :) hehe..

- Erwin :)
Aw, I missed that part. Thanks. Another show money uli in case. 16 months pala yung diploma in child care. Inisip ko kasi dati na 1 year is ok since mag aaply ako either express entry or pnp after. How much money did you show for 2yr course? Thinking of 2 things. 1. Shift to diploma program after 1 sem, as you said, or, 2. Itry ko magshift now to diploma and ask bvc again...

Congrats po sa Student Visa mo! Kelan po kayo nag apply and online din ba? Kasi I lodged my application last Oct.19 and got my medical passed last Oct.31, still waiting for the result.

Congratulations po sa mga na-approve! Kindly PM me your email used in fb so I can ad you guys to the group. ;)

Malapit na ang finals week kaya wish us luck guys!

Balancing work and studies is a difficult task. I see my classmates work while studying and almost all of them are failing. The demand and workload of school related tasks here are almost (if not more than) doubled of what I experienced back home when I was studying but you really do get what you paid for when you study. I can say this in my case because I am learning software development and I came from a business and engineering background.

I guess it depends din on what's your background and what you are taking. Maybe if you're a nurse back home and taking practical nursing here, baka easier na :)

For example, in my program, we have quizzes every week, asked to review slides (approximately 70 ppt slides each time) before classes (otherwise kulelat ka sa lab tasks), mini-presentations, projects, and homework every weekend (make a web page or make a program or database, etc) so halos wala na time to even think of finding a part time job. But don't get me wrong, I also see students from other programs who are having a great time and still manage to work part time.

I guess what I'm trying to say is be financially prepared just incase you will not work while you're studying. I have a classmate who just had money to pay the first sem and is now working to have money for the second sem but is sacrificing her grades and now she's in danger of failing 1-3 courses which are pre-requisites for next semester. If you do fail, you might have to wait for a year to get those courses again.

We were just lucky that my wife got employed while she was still in the Philippines and she gets to practice her profession. :)

Wow sped teacher din pala wife mo and yes you are blessed talaga. Imagine there was a job waiting for her kahit noong hindi pa na approve OWP niya.

Sped teacher din ako dito sa Pinas and Im applying for Behavioural Sciences Diploma sa Seneca King Campus. Its in the field of special educ. Sped kasi experience ko dito kaya i didn't pursue my plan in applying humber for international devt. What I like in humber sana is it's in Toronto pero 1 year grad cert. Lang ang autism and behavioural science nila. whereas sa seneca king campus 2 years diploma kaya when i saw there program I applied right away without second thought. Hindi kasi ako mahirapan sa SOP, passion ko talaga ang Sped field and most specially it's safer for future PR kasi 2 years. Isa lang concern ko ngayon medyo malayo yata siya sa Toronto, well I dont know really bahala na. Hehehe

Just received my study permit today after 5 days upon approval. Applied within Canada. but still waiting for the OWP and TRV for my wife and son. Applied online together last October 12, 2015. But until now no update in their profile. done upfront medical. the clinic informed us that they submitted already the result of medical ahead of our submission. Just a bit wondering what is happening.

Anybody with the same experience?

Hello shimy! My wife was lucky to find work agad although to be honest, her boss isn't the best. Medyo magulang and medyo exploit ang skills niya while being underpaid. I think the current rate now for sped is around 25/hr but she gets less. Tiis-tiis nalang muna until maka 1 year work experience siya para maka apply sa express entry although, naghahanap na din siya ng ibang schools that might offer better :) Goodluck on your application!

I wish I can comment on your school but I haven't explored much of Ontario yet kasi medyo heavy ang load sa school :)

Congrats loomingtiger! I already sent you an invite! :)
