Hi Venice & jbjc,

Dapat notarized ang IMM5409, scan & save as pdf lang, tapos upload sa section for Statutory Declaration of Common Law section.

Thanks, timeline ng sis ni GF:

Hi maryjoan,

You can state your plans after studying. While it is implied that students may want to stay after graduation, importante din na ma-demonstrate mo na may back-up plan ka just incase that (in reference to finding work after graduation) didn't work. Answering questions like the ones below can be very helpful in my opinion.

-why study in Canada?
-how will this new study program help your career WHEN YOU GO BACK HOME?
-job prospects in your home country after graduation?

The most important advice I can share you is just be honest with your application. Yung amin hindi ko lang ma-share kasi medyo cheesy hehe :)

Hello guys,

First of all i'd like to say thanks for making this thread active.

I am a bit confused about my plan to study and I hope anyone can give me insight here.

These are my concern:

I have finished my Master's Degree in Elementary Mathematics in 2012.

Now, I am planning to pursue Master's in Special Education however, there is a condition that to be accepted in the graduate program an applicant must have an educational background in special education.

So I intent to study Diploma in Special Education.

Is there any possibility to get study permit?

Thank you guys in advance for your inputs.

Hello!

Just my opinion, unless you can justify clearly why you will "downgrade", a visa officer might ask you why are you getting a diploma instead of targeting for PHD? Did you already contact the university about this matter?

Thanks Mic mic,

I sent an email to the University of Manitoba where i am taking my Diploma in May 2016 and they understand my my intention to study Special Education course.

I have been worrying about the CIC .

What are the possible documents that my employer will have to prepare as they will give me one year permission to study in Canada.

I am Filipino and I have been working in Thailand for 10 consecutive years.

One think more, since i've been living in Thailand for 10 years, is it possible to lodge my application at VFS office in Thailand?

Thanks in advance guys for answering my questions.

Are you teaching in Thailand? Is this your occupation for 10 years na?

Your case is a little complicated but not impossible. You just need a solid statement of purpose explaining why you want to study Special Education, instead of what you are doing now. Then state what you are telling us now that you need a diploma to get a Master's in Special Ed.

I think you can submit in VFS Thailand. However, you must be able to prove that you have something to go back to in the Philippines after your degree. So include evidence of properties and investments in the Philippines, and what your plans are after you finish your diploma (should be postgrad, BTW)

I concur with scorpio's reply. Your concern should be towards establishing that you are a genuine student. I suggest "change in career/target student" as the angle of your SOP?

Humana na gayud ako ug lodge sa application. GRABENG paningkamot MA-COMPRESSED everything! Hina-ot malooy pud ginoo namo :)
