Anyone applied a Student Permit from Philippines?

Guys!!! I got my visa na!!! Dineliver ng 2GO courier sa office kaninang 12noon. I am so so happy. I don't know what to feel. Waaaaa. Thanks to this forum sa pagpapalakas ng loob ko through out my application time

I know na malapit na tayong magkavisang lahat. This week yan! Sana sunod sunod na para lahat tayo happy! ;D I will pray that all of us will get our visa. Thank you Lord!

Me too! Picked up my passport a while ago. Sabi pa nga e wala daw ako sa pick-up hours ng VAC pero pinagbigyan na ako. hahaha! Visa approved, multiple-entry!

God is really good. I hope magdatingan na rin sa iba.

guys ano po pwede kong gawin, i got a refusal letter...di ko daw naipasa ung NBI Certificate ko. which i did naman...nawalan ako ng gana.akala ko after medical ay ok na.

I think dapat email mo sila na nag submit ka naman then attach proof of submission at acknowledgement nila na nareceived nila yung NBI mo. Convince them na submitted yun sa set deadline na binigay sa iyo. Yun lang naiisip ko sa ngayon, kasi ako rin medyo kabado na, na after medical me refusal pa rin pala???

Hey guys,
Good to have all pinoys here. I have a question. I have lived and worked in China for sometime now. I applied for my study permit and husband's (not from Philippines) OWP online from China and was refused just 5 days after submission. I had all the requirements ( first semester tuition fee paid, had a deposit certificate of amount twice my total expenses and fees in Canada, letter from employer, property investments in other countries etc) I have realized even though I have work permit in China which allows me to apply from China, my chances are small. So I want to know, if I apply from Manila, being a Filipino what do you think my chances will be? And normally how long does it take?
Secondly, do you think I will have a strong case if I use my documents from China, proving my employment history and salary slips for the number of years I have been there? By the way, I have an assistance of an immigration lawyer from Canada who is representing me and thinks my refusal was not proper. I had to return to Philippines, cos my Chinese work visa will expire soon and I don't wanna renew it.

That is odd, usually pag may kulang na doc they don't refuse right away. They ask you to submit it.

But anyway, you could definitely try rosamae's advice. Send them proof that you submitted your NBI clearance. Appeal ka to reconsider. Best of luck and sana maayos mo. Wag ka mawalan ng gana. Lahat meron bumps along the way, focus sa goals mo and keep the faith.

Maximum processing time is 12 weeks if applying from Manila visa office.

A strong case isn't just about pay slips and employment history. The most important thing with Canadian study permit is that you need to convince the visa officer that you will leave Canada after your studies. This means establishing strong ties to your HOME country. Being Filipino, this means you should submit proof of ties within the Philippines. Family members, bank accounts, investments and properties within the Philippines is what is important to show to the embassy. Best of luck and just reapply! I can relate sis! Ako din sobrang kabado. Di bale sis, who knows baka before mag New Year eh may nice surprise. O kaya, di pa naman huli si Santa VO na magsend dahil di pa naman holiday sa 23. Keep the faith sis! Claim it already! As long as you know you have submitted complete requirements and may medical request ka na, and you don't have a dreaded disease, I don't think the embassy has any reason to refuse you. Best of luck to us all!

Hey robinson, remember mo before yung post mo na down yung website ng CIC kaya di mo nasubmit NBI mo? you mentioned that they asked for both police clearance and NBI pero sabi mo NBI mo lang nasubmit mo. Di kaya dahil dun? Kasi di ba specific sila sa hiningi nila. You can ask for reconsideration and attach both NBI and police clearance as they originally asked.. Try lang tutal yan lang naman issue nila sa application mo. I am sure they will reconsider. Keep your chin up!!!

Robinson, wag mo muna refund ang tuition since mag reapply ka sa January. Email the school that you have been refused a visa and would be attending the following intake baka pwede na yung fee na binayad mo for the next intake na, or what they would recommend for you to do.

Wag ka malungkot. Magkikita kita tayo doon, okay? Tama ka, mag paper based ka. Tignan mo nalang na advantage din ang refusal na ito. It means meron ka pang mas maraming time to prepare for the next intake, at makakakuha ka ng better rates for airfare. See you soon and God bless! i feel you bro. mahirap nga ang feeling na madismaya sa panahong eto. the best thing you can think of for now is that this is one of the steps towards something greater. tiwala lang kay God. talk to him about it, sasagot naman si God e.

baka pwedeng magpa-defer na lang for next intake. inaadjust lang yung timing mo sa pagtungtong mo ng Canada kaya ganito. keep your head up bro and still be thankful about things that you have now.

Thanks sister pinapalakas mo loob ko, hayyyy..Dec.29 pa naman target ko para mahabol ang low air fare na nakuha ko kaso wala na, refund na ito kasi baka refusal ang visa then bayad na sa school tapos orientation ng school is Jan.3, LORD pleaseeeee....
