Anyone applied a Student Permit from Philippines?

Hi, I have a question. May nakita po akong earlier post regarding St Luke's Global as the most convenient for medical exam since walk-in lang unlike IOM na magse-set pa ng appointment. But according sa link ng CIC, three doctors are situated in St Luke's Extension instead, sa Ermita. The date of modification sa link was like July pa whereas the posts I've seen (recommending St Luke's Global) were dated October. Can someone shed light into this? I need to take my medical exam asap.

Btw, I just passed my application yesterday 1pm. Visa office emailed 6pm to inform me that they have received my application. Today 12nn CIC emailed requesting immediately for medical exam. Ambilis, I hope bumilis yung processing kasi Jan6 ang start ng classes.

I think yung sayo Mia, nauna ka mag apply ng student visa then sunod si hubby and child?

Congrats sir! Nakakatuwa naman. St Lukes Global daw po mabilis kasi wala masyado tao pumupunta tapos mabilis lang din sila magsubmit sa embassy. IOM works too, since pwede pa-appointment..

Here's my timeline

August 1st week
-nag apply ako sa Humber College
-2weeks after nareceive ko na ang acceptance letter ko

September 1st week
-submitted all necessary requirements sa embassy through online application

October 28
-nag request na sila na mag pa medical ako and i send ung NBI clearance ko

November 7
-nakapag pa medical nako and sabi na pag hindi sila tumawag witihin the week wala daw problem sa medical results ko
- sa IOM ako nag pa medical. mababait ung staff dun and accomodating

November 13
-pinadala ko na ung NBI clearance ko,though NBI at Police clearance ang hinihingi skn. NBI lang pinadala ko since isang file lang pde ko i upload sa site nila tsaka na down ata ung website nila kasi since nov 7 di ko maiupload ung NBI ko


(November last week - December 1st week)
-Hopefully i request na nila na kunin na ung passport ko and other docu's



Enrolled nako sa humber ... class start January 6, 2014


Naishare ko lang sa mga nag apply din katulad ko kung my kaparehas ako ng timeline.... mejo worried kc ako na bka kulangan ako sa oras.....

Haha thanks. Nakita ko na yung SLEC link re medical exam for Canada visa. Does anyone recommend seeing a doctor first prior to taking the medical exam or just go for it immediately?

Sir kung wala ka naman po naging illness before like TB or pneumonia or STD, I think it is okay na to go straight for medical na. From what I gathered, yan top 3 na yan ang mga talagang tinitignan nila, so if you're healthy naman, sayang pa yung gagastusin to see another doc. Opinion ko lang po yan ha..

Yup, yung una kasi naming application mali ang na-file namin na type ng visa for hubby kaya na-deny yung sa kanila pero na-approve naman ang sa akin. After ko makuha yung sa study visa ko, nagfile ulit kami ni hubby pero OWP na ang sa kanya while trv pa rin sa baby ko. Medyo natatagalan lang ako sa response compared sa timeline ko. I was wondering kung aabot ng 1 year ang sa kanila....

I have an existing hypothyroidism condition kasi (though hindi halata sa itsura kasi kinokontra ko sya via physical exercise and of course maintenance meds). I had undergone a lab test yesterday so that I may show some lab results to the doctor. Would that delay my case?

I'm planning to go tomorrow but I don't have my passport with me (obviously nasa Embassy kasi) and I don't have any national IDs to show except a TIN ID, a personal copy of NBI clearance and an old college ID. Ok lang naman ba na yun ang maipakita kong proof of identity?

Yup, good thing they accepted my TIN ID! Anyway, pumunta ako sa St Lukes Global mga 2pm. Grabe it's an empty clinic out there (save for the staff and doctors)!!! Sabi nila 15 applicants in average daw per day lang ang pumupunta duon. So mga first-timers sa medical, alam nyo na. Haha. Anyway, because I became honest and indicated that I take regular medication for my hypothyroidism, the doctor issued a specialist referral form and the staff told me to request a medical certification including the prognosis for the next 5 years, et. al. (take note: NOT clearance) from my endocrinologist and submit the forms back within a week so they can immediately process my records. Saktong pauwi na ako at problemado kung saan hihingi nun dahil matagal na kasi akong hindi nagpapakonsulta sa isang endocrinologist na bigla kong nakita ang sarili ko sa isang bagong tayong hospital na mas malapit sa bahay. Nagtanong ako kung may endocrinologist duon. Gulat ako at sabing meron daw ngayon na may clinic hours sa mismong oras na yun. Dali-dali akong nagpakonsulta at sabi ng doctor balikan ko daw by Monday evening yung medical cert. So hopefully Tuesday morning e balik St Lukes na ako at wala nang kung anong problema pa. hay Lord what a day...

I'm praying na bilisan na ng St Lukes at ng embassy ang processing. At di ko pa natatanggap sa mail yung CAQ ko. I'm hoping to leave last week of December. January 1 ang pinaka-latest (though ngarag na ako nun dahil January 6 ang klase). =_=

Hi I have a question. I've been looking for this question of mine but haven't found any inquiries same as mine.

I noticed kasi yung iba profile nila may grade 10 and grade 12. Since grade 10 lang tayo, yung grade 12 ba is sa college? Kailangan ba graduate ka ng 2 or 4 year course sa college to be able to apply in Canada? or okay lang ba na undergrad ka sa college then kukuha ng 3 year course sa Canada?

Hope someone can help me. Medyo confuse kasi ako kung kailangan ba na graduate ka sa college para ma accept ka sa isa sa mga college schools in Canada or kung okay lang kahit undergrad and itutuloy na lang doon. Confuse ako sa grade 10 and grade 12 din nila na requirements na kailanga mong ibigay na grades.

hi everyone,. question po.. for student visa applicants,. do we really need to pay first our tuition fees or maybe half of it before fin'ly submitting our applications for SV. I've been accepted at College of the Rockies and they instructed me that i could pay my tuittion fees only if i have been approved of my visa. Thanks in advance.
