Hello po mga kababayan,

Same situtation here for my wife who applied for SP. She's the brainy one (not me) that's why I didn't applied for SP...hehehe :D

1. We inquired thru several Ontario universities and ask for there reqiurements and most of them needs GMAT, ILETS and other school documents.

2. Wife got examination for IELTS and GMAT. After passing and completing her documents she applied for Brock University - MBA Finance. She graduated BS ECE here in Philippines.

3. Few weeks after we have received her acceptance letter from the school. And after few days of completing all of the requirements, we submitted all of our documents to CEM (NBI, business cert, marriage cert, birth cert, etc..). Our daughter and me (husband) will be also going with her as her dependent.

4. After 2-3 weeks they replied and ask for more additional documents pertaining to my wife and the origin of source on income. They also ask if I have intention to work and I send a cover letter that I have intention to work after 1-2 months of settling down.

5. 2 weeks after they replied again and ask for me (husband) to submit the form for Application Permit Made Made Outside Canada. No more question about my wife. We submitted it last July 13. I hope this is a good sign that they have no more question about my wife and only asking for my application for open work permit.

It will be exactly 2 weeks starting tomorrow since they picked up our documents. We are hoping and praying that the next reply will be asking us to take our Medical exams.
Hi! I'm a newbie here and I hope you can still reply to my query, your wife graduated from the Phils and was qualified to take MBA in Canada, did she take an exam or something to get into the MBA program?

Hi Giogenre. Anyway I'll try to answer your questions.

Questions:
1. ano bang dapat kong kunin, Masters ba? ilang taon ba Masteral? Anong course ang maganda?

Kung graduate ka sa University sa atin, it's better to get Masters na lang. It depends din kasi. Pero sabi nila para mas maganda ung chance mo for student permit and kung ayaw mo mag risk, it's better to go for Masteral Degree. May isang member dito, wife nya masteral kinuha, one year lang daw. I guess it depends na dins a school un. But since may isang member dito na one year lang wife nya, I guess pwede ka kumuha ng one year or better check yung school na gusto mo pasukan. Kung ano course maganda? Ung kukunin mo should match your degree sa atin. Kasi isa sa mga reason bakit na deny pag di related ugn course na kinukuha sa Canada and sa degree dito and work na din. SO kunwari IT work mo, graduate ka din ng IT, dapat ung kukunin mo na course related sa IT.

3. Planning to work while studying, dapat ba COOP yung school?
Pwede ka naman mag work while studying na walang CO-OP, nasa cic website ung list ng mga colleges and universities na may off campus and on campus work permit. Kailangan mo maintain ung grade mo. Saiba 2.0 and isa naman 2.5 an grade ang dapat ma maintain apra ma approve ka for CO-OP.

For Masteral and PhD: Let's say one year lang kukunin. pwede ka na amg apply for PR without work experience sa canada, un lang malaki ung show money. ung standard na show money na pinapakita for FSW.

As for Colleges: Kailangan mo ng 12 months na work experienced after mo mag graduate para maka apply for PR. And dapat nasa NOC O,A,B ung work mo.

Iba iba, ung iab two seasons lang ung iba three seasons naman. Sept-Jan-May or ung iba Sept-Jan.

6. Ilang month ba ko apply study permit before the start ng school?

Ang advise nila mga 4 months before start ng school, pero naglabas naman na din ng news ang cic na pwede mag apply 4 to 6 months before mag start ung school mo.

Anyway Goodluck! :)
Hi! Qualified ba agad sa masters degree here in Canada yung credentials sa Pinas if we finished a Bachelors Degree there? TIA! :D

Hi. We kinda have the same sitch since my whole family are PRs of Canada. And from what opinions I've got from the forum, it can go either way. The most important thing is you just have to prove strong ties to the Philippines. What's your profile and when are you starting school? What kind of docs did you submit online? I have yet to submit my application, too...
Hi! We kinda have the same situation :) My family and I have been denied TRV twice before pero naapprove naman nung pangatlo na. Ngayon naman my dad wants me to apply for a SV.

2) What course will u take up in Canada and where?
3) Assets (who will shoulder expenses?)

Sorry last post sa araw na ito, may way ba para macredit ang credentials from the Phils like kung nakatapos ako ng Bachelors Degree can I immediately apply for Masters in Canada? Anyone from the forum na may ganitong experience? Thanks in advance!

Just like most of the people here, all my family are already PRs in Canada. Sponsorship is not anymore an option coz im married so SV is the way to go.

Hi! I don't know if a Bachelor's degree here would count towards a Masters degree in Canada. But try to ask/email schools in Canada if they can assess your papers. Some schools do it for free, some for a fee.

Btw, I also applied for a student visa. I am a Masters degree holder in Nursing, and looking forward to study in Ontario this fall. I haven't receive any letter/email from CEM yet but I am praying hard that I will.

Keep praying guys! Best of luck to all of us! ;D

Hi ms ladybug! And those who can advise me..

Im not sure if you can help me mejo complicated ang course ko. I graduated BS in commerce then nag nursing ako but when I worked in SG I became an Ops Manager for a medi-aesthetic clinic. Now im conflicted if I should declare my studies in Nursing if I am to take a Business diploma course. Im afraid if I declare then the VO will get so confused as to where is my direction. Gusto ko sana ituloy nlng ang Business course since it is related to my current work experience

Di ko ren kasi alam how is the approval rate ng mga nurses saten applying for student visa ( ties with the home country ang problem na nkikita cos VO knows gusto ng mga nurses saten mag migrate)

A bachelor's degree is usually honored by Canadian colleges and universities if your going to apply for diploma courses but not in post-grad degrees but check the admission requirements of your desired school for details.
Sometimes, they count the number of years in school instead.

I would suggest to have a business course instead. Just explain your situation and the career path you want to pursue after graduation. You can also declare a decently large funding (maybe more than $30,000) so visa officer can see that you'll not be working there. If you have properties here, you can also declare it as country ties. If you have a family, do not bring them in Canada with you as this might complicate things.

DocRZ is right. As much as possible, show CEM that you really intend to return back home after your studies. :)

Best of luck to all of us! :D
