Yup I applied to Seneca for Early Childhood Education.
- I submitted my IELTS, TOR w/ application form to Seneca (online).
- tuition fee is 12k+ CAD
- I paid 1st semester tuition fee
- yeah Seneca will refund paid tuition fee but deducts 200CAD
- w/o coop
- no need for interview when u applied for study permit.

Hope it helps.
thanks luckygirl. pati requirements mo online na rin? scanned? or after pina courier mo rin? how long ang seneca nag respond sayo?

may nabasa rin ako, na kailangan din daw ipa assess yung equivalency ng education natin or no need na yun?

at ano rin yung nabasa ko if you apply for sv, you also apply for trv?

After 2 days of backreading this topic natapos ko rin sa wakas at marami talaga akong natutunan. I have questions po sana po may makasagot medyo complicated kasi case namin.
Me and my husband applied as FSW with the help of consultant agency here in Bahrain but got rejection letter last May 4, 2012. The reason was failure to provide satisfactory evidence that you have work experience in the listed occupation as a chef/cook. My aunt owns a catering business so college pa lang ako I was working na sa business niya until I graduated I continued working as cook. We were able to provide letters and certifications from my aunt. Then 2006 i was hired as flight attendant sa Gulf Air. My position was Chef Assistant for 6 years at the time of application but then the rejection letter mentioned nga na the essential/main duties of the job was not met. Please help me to assess my chances for student visa.
Bachelor degree- Broadcast Communication graduated 2004
Job history-part-time cook 2002-2004
cook from 2004-2006 (Philippines)
flight attendant(chef assistant certificate)-2006-Feb 2013 (Bahrain)
Admission officer in an international school (Bahrain) April 2013-present

1st option-I am now thinking to take up Culinary Arts not sure which school yet George Brown pa lang nakita ko pero sis in law ko canadian citizen living in Toronto so preferably doon din sana kami mag stay para tipid sa accommodation and other expenses since willing naman sis in law ko to sponsor us. My husband can either stay here sa Bahrain if it’s going to help me get student permit easily pero siyempre kung pwede sana sabay kami mas okay. We have a property sa Pinas, hubby got house and lot sa Laguna last 2011 under pagibig loan. The eldest will be college na sa june and the second grade 7. My whole family is in Manila, my mom now is here in Bahrain under visit visa pero baka magwork na rin here sa Bahrain kung ma-transfer visa otherwise balik rin ng Pinas. My hubby’s mom nasa Pinas pero my multiple entry to visit sa Canada dahil sa sis in law ko. The rest of my hubby’s family nasa Pinas din lahat. My time deposit account ako sa Pinas. My hubby being the youngest sa family has an option ipangalan rin house ng mom niya under his name kung makakatulong. Is that enough ties na hindi ako mag—stay sa Canada? I wanted to take up culinary since never ko naman na-practise bachelor degree ko so no point of getting masters. Also, plano rin naming magtayo ng restaurant upon retirement and since mahilig talaga ako magluto might as well magka diploma ako.
2nd option- Since I’m working na sa school as admission officer, dapat ba may kinalaman sa work ko ngayon?

Open work permit or TRV?

Yup, I scanned my TOR and IELTS and sent them online and wla naman ginawang ibang assessment ang Seneca. I got my LOA exactly after a month by courier from Seneca. Regarding sa TRV, when u apply kc for study permit and u got approved the VO will stamped TRV in your passport and u will got your SV upon your landing sa Canada at the port of entry.

try to google also OMNI COLLEGE for Internationally Educated Nurses

I got this from a visa consultancy seminar, they are offering this "Omni Visa" (student visa at omni college).
im not a nurse though. just wanna share the info i learned. i think its a review program or bridging program for internationally educated nurses.

whats your opinion on my case:

is it advisable to bring or not to bring spouse and kid if we will be entirely dependent on my parents financial support? theyre both Nurses in the US. i dont think i can bear to be away from my son and husband.

will my previous tourist visa rejections in the US and Schengen affect my would be student visa app?

ang gagamitin ko sana reason for applying student visa in canada is to acquire a globally competitive education that I can use as background for future employment in the US where my parents are citizens. or should I say Philippines nlng?

and if its ok, pwede kayo maka share kung how much money nasa bank nyo if dala ang spouse and kids. although I already read in the CIC website how much the minimum should be.

anyone who have answers to my questions will be highly appreciated. :)

Hi guys hope you could help me in this matter:

I'm an RN in PH. Unfortunately walang work experience since nung grumaduate ako last 2010 and passed the board last 2011.
Now I'm planning to study in Canada as PHARMACY TECHNICIAN in red deer college. Dapat automotive ako but the program is currently suspended.

Questions:
1. Will I have a hard time to get a visa, since it is not course related? (or should i have a GOOD SOP to pass)
2. Pharmacy technician is a 1-year program and i will be eligible for PGWP, not exceeding the 1-year as to CIC. Question, is it recommended to take a 1-year program? Another question, if the PGWP is to expire what will be my next step?
3. Am I eligible to apply for a PR?

Hope to have some friends here, lol
Planning to apply for winter(January2014)

Thanks!
Paul

Paul,

I would say that chances are slim but you can try. For higher chance of approval, get Masteral (RN) in a University and not college. A one-year program in college won't give you any edge. As for the PR, no, you won't be eligible.

It's not easy to get in. Indians, Middle eastern and Chinese usually apply for 4-year dedgree program in a Uni to get here.
