may alam ba kaung school na may healthcare course with co-op? sa toronto sana.

Hi. Most na may co-op, ung mga 3 year program. Ang napansin ko lang din na may co-op ang two year program ung Georgian. Ung healthcare ba na sinasabi mo Practitional Nursing? If that's the case, two year program sya. Sa Georgian 2.5 years. I'm not sure lang sa iba baka may alam sila na may co-op ung practitional nursing, unless na lang ata kumuha ka ng bachelor degree for nursing, perong college or diploma, wait for the reply na lang sa iba na may alam about your concern. :)

Hello! :)

My sister and her family are permanent residents, di naman naging bad thing. Nagpakita lang ako ng employment certificates nila ng brother-in-law ko, plus a letter of support (na sakanila ako mag sstay sa duration of my studies) :) I got my visa naman.
Thanks to those who weighed in on my case! ;)

I'm staying positive but really anxious though coz I already got refused a tourist visa last year - reason being I might not be going back to the PH. When I applied for tourist visa, I had a stable 3-yr job plus our family business is registered under my name. I submitted bank statements, property titles, plus my parents' employment cert and letter of support in Canada. I think - and other people also agree - it may be because I'm single and my whole immediate family is already in Canada. That's why I'm worried about my chances for a Study Permit. Nevertheless, I'm still gonna try. :D

Do they (VO) also take into consideration your academic record? IELTS?

hi schoolgirl

@JainaFel: Sis oo nga bakit di nalang sponsorship? Though I know wala ng family sponsorship ngayon except for spouses/commonlaw/dependents/parents and grandparents. Kung single ka pa, balik ka sa school dito sa pinas, through that pwede ka sponsoran ng parents mo. Pero kailangan may work parents mo sa Canada. Kahit above 21 ka na, as long as di ka pa kasal and wala kang common law partner, as long as nag aaral ka pa, consider ka as dependent ng family mo.

But if you still want to try na mag apply for study permit, try mo na lang din. I remember ako wala ako pinakita na assets like credit card or lupa. So talgang very important ang ties mo sa pinas. Pag isipan mo mabuti before ka mag apply. Try mo kumuha ng agency, ung may mga partnership with post secondary colleges in Canada.

As for the school record/IELTS, it doesn't matter kasi kung magna cum laude ka.

2. proof of funds / income

They've only been there less than 2 years, so I don't think they can do that yet. My dad wants me there the soonest kasi, that's why we're exploring the study permit option...

Oh no, oo nga noh, ties. Sa akin kasi, my eldest sister yung PR sa Canada tapos yung pangalawang ate is working sa US as a doctor, tapos parents ko nandito lang sa Philippines and pareho silang may US and Canada visitor visa. Kinabahan ako na kulang na sa ties kasi wala na akong kapatid dito, pero since nandito pa parents ko, I guess enough naman yung ties.

Meron din nagpost sa thread na ito last year, may kapatid din na PR tapos nakakuha. Pero yun nga, kapatid lang.

Try and try until you die! Hehehe. Pero seriously, if you present a strong SOP (na talagang relevant sa previous studies/career mo yun ittake mo sa Canada and walang ganung program sa Pinas), malaking factor din yun.

Hello mga Kabayan!

Hope someone could give me an advice on my situation. I'm planning to apply for a student permit. Here are my details.

1. I was an FSW applicant once last Nov. 2011 application but was rejected due to work experience not satisfied the criteria given in the cic job description.
2. Planning to apply for a tourist visa (with wife and one son) to visit my parents and 2 brothers in Toronto (all are citizens na) and syempre hanap job for just an interview bago balik. Pero medyo hindi ako kampante sa way na to, parang malaki ang chance ma-reject.
3. Upon reading posts here, I find applying for a student permit is more advisable.
4. Planning to apply muna na mag-isa rather than with family para malaki ang chance na ma-approve.
5. Medyo may edad na rin, pero hindi naman daw ito factor to study there.
6. Have ample work experience (15 years). I'm an ECE.

Questions:
1. ano bang dapat kong kunin, Masters ba? ilang taon ba Masteral? Anong course ang maganda?
2. Anong school ba ang advise nyo enroll-an ko? Malapit sa Scarborough area Toronto.
3. Planning to work while studying, dapat ba COOP yung school?
6. Ilang month ba ko apply study permit before the start ng school?

Regards and Thanks sa lahat.
