Anyone applied a Student Permit from Philippines?

Siguro hindi lang sila nag post nagbabasa basa lang sila tulad ko hehe. saka na ako maging active dito pag nagpasa na ko ng application ;D

Sa lahat ng naghihintay ng visa results isa lang masasabi ko "BELIEVE"

I trusted them kase may mga kakilala ako sa kanila dumaan pra mag student visa. And to make sure organized and double checked ung papers ko po. Aside sa mga hinihingi nila requirements i always double check it sa cic. My concern is last Thursday pa daw na deny along with 10 applicants. Ang dami nun ah. Sabj isesend nila ung refusal letter. Hanggang ngaun di ko pa nareciv. Nag remind na ako sabi isesend na nila. Before hindi ko na po sila kinulit bigay sa akin ung account ko sa cic sobrang tiwala ko sa kanila eh. Ngaun kukulitin ko talaga bigay nila sa akin. Kasi po d ko na alam anong gagawin. Ma expire na po ung LOA at the end of the month. Ty

It's not a guarantee na kung may nakapasa na sa agency, your case will be the same. Andami namang na-deny galing sa kanila .... hmmmm. Baka meron silang nakaligtaan kaya ganyan.

You can re-apply, definitely. But first you have to find out why and that is stated in the refusal letter. I don't know why they are dragging their feet in giving you the letter - the reason for your refusal is there.

As for your LOA, defer to January intake and ask your college to give yuo a new LOA

Sa NAIT (Digital Media & IT) ako nag apply meron na kasi ako mga kapatid sa Edmonton. Nakalagay kasi sa website nila kailangan isend yung official transcript. Di ko nga natanong kung babalik nila yun transcript ko?

ohhh ... particular pala ang NAIT. I don't think they will return it to you right away kasi kailangan din nila yon sa school records nila. Pero pwede ka naman humingi sa school mo ulit, di ba?

Confirmed ko na na ako lang ang pinoy sa program ko (Enterprise Software Development). Wag po natin tuladan yung mga suplada/suplado na mga pilipino na nakatapak lang dito eh feeling Canadian na kahit baluktot ang english ;D

Nabasa ko lang recently post ng wife ni kyle. possible pala ma grant ka ng 3yrs PGW kahit 1 year course ang kinuha mo pag maganda yun grades mo. anyway here's the post, share ko lang I'm so happy for him Congrats kyle!

i just wanna share the happiness and positivity...

my husband applied for PGWP last june 13, 2015 for an 18 months Post Graduate Course in Vancouver...
though it's a 1yr and 6 months period program only, he indicated in his application form a request for approval of 2YRS VALIDITY...

We have never expected! how blessings and luck comes!
Coz after 3 months, he received yesterday September 9, 2015 his PGWP approval of 3 YEARS!!! Smiley
Right after checking his My CIC account, he received a confirmation fr CIC regarding validity period and all...
He was told he have to wait for the actual permits to be mailed in his address.

I read here one member who has also finished a 1 yr program and was approved a 3 year period PGWP... could be a positive assumption... he/she mentioned:
"I've heard that this might be because my grades were good (GPA above 85%.) Some of my classmates were also given 3 years PGWP. I cannot guarantee anything, but hope this information helps."

By the way, he paid $255 on the initial application (which i supposed the cause of delay for most of the applicants)... he received consecutive blank messages from CIC... then eventually after 3 mos! APPROVED!!!

My partner did good in his studies... Thanks God! Smiley

Yup, that's probably the case Wish me luck guys! Apparently, most of our professors love torturing students are always more than happy to hand out zeros in class. I'm lucky at wala pako ganito incident. I was very happy during the first month since for someone new to the filed, I was on the top 5 but because of the crazy quizzes, nawala ako sa top. I'm still doing ok, pero di nako top Anyways, I hope to see you guys here soon. Magkikita kami nila floje, tipsy, scorpio and the rest who are here after our midterms

Yep. 1 school year is equal to 8 months lang, so 18 months is two years (more than two years pa nga).
Pag 8 months lang malabo talaga na more than 1 year PGWP.
It is possible that he studied for four semesters straight kaya ayun. 1y 6 months ang program niya.

Ang sinabi lang sa Centennial na pwede for three years PGWP other than the two year program is 1 + 1 (pwede pala yon) pero it's still a gamble because it's all up to CIC kung 1, 1.5 or 3 ang ibibigay. At ang drawback niyan is that you can't work during the summer since you're technically not a full time student then.

I'd not risk anything based on third party info on a messageboard, just saying

pwede tayo mag unli hours mag work sa ON campus ah, tinwagan ko ung CIC for more than 5 times na kasi di ako naniniwla nung una pero ayun issa lang sinasabi nila then make sure na 20 hrs lang off campus ninyo wag mag eexceed unless break time ninyo sa school
