Ahhh... My lovely scores.

Listening 8.5 (I was not expecting a British accent at all!)
Reading 7.5 (I don't even know how I got such a low score here with my educational background. It was a rough day.)
Writing 8.0 (Ugh)
Speaking 9.0
Overall 8.5

So I do have room for improvement. BUT now I have a job offer so I won't need to retest. :)
My post is irrelevant, but this makes me thinking: with some work, non-native English speakers can get on par for non-vocal modules in IELTS with native speakers, but for the vocal modules it'd be not possible.
As a non-native speaker I actually beat your reading and writing score, but I sucked at listening and speaking, as such overall score is only 7.5

Ain't that something? Lol. But I bet as a non-native you take better care at our grammatical rules, eh? Interestingly, I was having a horrible day and so my writing was very very bad and so was my reading. On any other day I would have probably had an 8.5 in each of those.

I wonder about the writing section... Because of my style of writing (goodness, I can be a bit too creative), I wonder if I should have been very very boringly basic instead of my usual quirky self. I also wonder how it is graded. Hell, I still cannot believe how low I got on my reading. Lol. It bothers me. If I could retake the test for free, I certainly would.
