my application was received by london on the 21st of sep. my issue is that my application contains $150 draft for my new born which was issued by my bank in august 2010, as by our country law drafts are valid for 6 months so i am bit worried regarding that, i hope they open up my envelop before feb 2011.

I hope they open it before it expires but in worst case senario if they didnt open it and it expired you will be able to get your money back from the instituion where you get the draft and london office will definetly ask you to re-send the draft they wont reject it if its expired so dont worry.

I think all of we should wait until the 10th of January if nothing is happens till now then we should better send them an e-mail to give them a wake up call, they may wake up from their long deep sleep after finding out there are people out here suffering because of there lovely lazynes.
Secondly one of mine friend told me it also depends on how quickly you send your documents after receiving the 1st AOR if you are quick they will send you 2nd AOR quickly if you send them documents near the end of 120 days you will have to wait long for their reply. I do not know either he right or just his guess.

Monde

We are on the same boat Monde, my 2nd AOR is also since July 2010. I hope we ca have the IN PROCESS status asap coz I am running out of time...

Keep the hopes high we will make it hope fully before OCT/NOV 2011 other wise we have to wait till 2012 because majority of the CHC run out of quota by Oct each year keep praying .

If its gonna be after Oct 2011, its to much for the 6 to 12 mos adds.............Really frustrating.

Hi All,

Anyones status changed this Tuesday?

Cheers
Saki

Hi Guys,

Below is the wording i copied from london office website,

For all permanent resident applications (except Family Class, Provincial Nominees, Arranged Employment and Quebec applications), a letter of Acknowledgement of Receipt is sent to the applicant within 24 weeks from the date this office receives the completed application. The Acknowledgement provides details of processing times. Please read it carefully.

Its 14 weeks now since they have received my application so within next 10 weeks maximum i should receive something.

Cheers
