Hi All,

I am a recent provincial nominee from Ontario and am preparing to apply to CIO. Would really appreciate if someone could help me with the following 2 queries:

- Should we send police certificate with the initial application (IMM0008, etc.) now. It says they are valid for a year only and may be requested again later if they are expired at the time of processing. The checklist states that application can be submitted without them at this stage so don't want to delay my submission. (I can get one for Pak easily but also have to get one from UK too [for staying as international student in 2 installments of 6 months back in 2004 ] )
- Can anyone from Pakistan clarify where to get bank draft to send payment (Karachi, Pakistan)?

My E-Cas is still showing "Application received". Most probably, It will change 2 weeks before I get a Medical Request.

Hi All

I have already got the AINP nomination under the family stream. Now I have already submitted the full application which I got the confirmation of. Fee amount is also charged. I received an email lately stating for some new requirements which I do not have any problem with except my own money to be shown. During my AINP filing I showed the amount of 14000 CAD for my case. Then since they want the amount to be shown in my account again and I didn't maintain the same balance till now in 1 account. I currently have some 7000 CAD in my account and can raise the required amount in 1 week time. I just kept buying some stuff for investment i.e. raw gold, car etc. What is the way forward here as if I raise the amount in no time VO might bring a case that I borrowed and the money is not my own. Would a detailed justification alongwith the bank statement help here? Please help!

I'm single applicant without any dependent. It was exactly the same case with me. I sent VO 12 months (Nov 2011 to Oct 2012)statement on my account with a cover letter justifying why balance kept changing. My statement shows a balance of C$ 12,000 in from Nov 2011 to Jan 2012 but it gradually went down to C$ 2000 by the end of Jun, again I built it up to C$ 11,000 in July, it stayed above C$10,000 until end August, then it went back to couple of thousands. On Sep 26 I was asked to show my own money. From Oct 01 to Oct 11 I increased my balance from C$ 2,000 to C$ 16000. I justified by saying that I invest my money to suplement my income but I can maitain a certain minimum balace if it is required, hopefully explanation would be accepted.

Hi alhassan,

You submitted additional documents to CHC London in May 2012, it means minimum 4 months has been gone and you could not get MR; it is weird.
One of my friends submitted additional documents in April, she recieved MR in Sep. You should have recieved them now. Some people got MR within 2 months of additional document submission. I guess, how much time is to be taken before you get MR after these documents submission, depends upon the nature of documents. Mostly CIC states in demand letter of these documents that up to 4 months could be taken to get these documents verified. For example when someone is to submit only settlement plan, details of work experience and bank statement then there is no much to be verified so applicant can get MR quickly. If original educational certifictes, police clearance certificate etc are asked, it may take longer time before you get MR.

This may not be the right explanation; these are just my thoughts.

if you have investment in gold then show them selling receipts and put the money in your account. it will work i am sure

Yup I know couple of forum members like Nabeela, Silentear, pak44/f. All of them are almost 2 months ahead of me but pak44/f submitted documents with me due to IELTS request.

Don't know about Nabeela but Silentear recently received MR exactly after 2 months of Additional Document Request.

London Visa Office is toooooo much unpredictable

I wonder why are they taking too much time just to review your additional documents.

But one thing for sure is true(according to my assumptions) that if VO is taking too long to send you MR then hopefully your next process would be much speedy than others. I mean you'll be able to get PPR1 & 2 much quicker as compared to others.
