Any issues driving across the US-Canada border with paper plates?

Hi, I will like to know if anyone has any experience, driving to land in Canada with paper plates. It's my personal vehicle but it's not registered yet so the title is not in my name. Car was bought at the auction. Will there be any issues importing it? Any advice will be appreciated.

1) you will need the title to both export and import it.(title should be in your name free of lien)
2) you said it was bought at an auction, is it a clean title?

I have not registered it, that's why the title is not in my name yet.
I bought from the auction, its a clean title. I have been driving it for about 4 months with the paper tag here. I intend to register it as soon as I get to CA. My concern is if I will face issues with exporting and importing.

You need the title in your name to export and import, that should be your concern.

Paper tag is secondary and not that important.
