Any Idea Why My Application Status is still on Step 1 "We have received..."?????

How common is this? I am really upset that my application has yet to progress...

But wouldn't they inform me if I had insufficient details? I pretty much filled out every little detail I could imagine with extreme accuracy. They've received my application back in May and I applied outside of Canada as a privately sponsored refugee.

I'm not saying you provided CIC with insufficient details. I'm saying you didn't post enough information on the forum which makes it difficult for any of us to answer since we don't know the background information about your claim.

You haven't said where you're from. However since you're privately sponsored, your processing times sound normal so far. The privately sponsored stream typically takes several years.
