Any idea how to get the Certificate of Date of Birth for Indian passport?

Hi,

I realized BLS Toronto has removed all references to getting a Certificate of Date of Birth, and calling them, they confirmed it is not provided anymore. However, the option is still there for the Ottawa jurisdiction, but the BLS person told me that I can only make requests to BLS Toronto based on where I live, and obviously they do not provide it anymore. Peak stupidity from BLS!!

Does anybody have an idea if there's still a way to get it or am I stuck with this red taping?

Couldn't you rent a place somewhere in Ottawa and use that address (as a second home) for this purpose?

Fair point! I can look into some short-term options as long-term ones and ID changes would be too much for me. Thanks!
