Oh, no need to start to freak just yet.
You can check CIC's website for processing times for the In Canada portion of your application. I have noticed that they are taking longer then expected since I have a family member that just recently submitted their application at CPC-M.
The last time I checked, it shows that it's taking them 69 days to process applications and they were only looking at cases from Feb.
However, once you have submitted everything that they asked for on the Document Checklist, you shouldn't worry about them sending back the application. Also, if you meet the sponsorship requirements you are good to go. That is, not on EI, Gov't Support, etc.
My application was sent back from CPC-M last year because I forgot to sign one or two pages but otherwise it was good to go.
My timeline:
Application started processing at POS on Aug 12, 2009
Received AOR on November 16, 2009
Mind you, my situation is a bit complex because I was a failed refugee and PRRA claimant and therefore was removed from Canada earlier this year. I did very well for myself throughout the years I have spent in Canada.
Since then, no other form of communication. However, in response to an email inquiry they have informed me that the application is in queue for an interview which will be in the next coming months (no specific dates given)
I find the POS office a little slow and very difficult working with. For now, I just have to keep my mouth shut and let them do their work.
I should be getting some sort of update from them in the coming weeks to month though. I can't wait here in GT any longer.
How about yourself and your spouse?
