Any Bangladeshi Applicant Please help - Form fillup IM0008 Sch 1

Dear guys,

I am in doubt what numbers to write in Education box (No 10. number of yrs in schools..). I have a degree in Bachelor of Computer Science.

In Bangladesh we 5 yrs primary, 5 yr secondary, 2 yr higher secondary (that we say college) and then University degree BSc 4 yr.

For some personal reason it took me 6 yrs to complete the Bachelor degree.

Am I correct in putting the following number?

Elementary/primary school: 5 yr, Secondary/high school: 5 yr, University/college: 8 yr, Trade school or other post secondary school: N/A

I am confused what to write in "University/college". I took me 6 yr to complete BSc and my college is 2 yrs. Thats why I wrote 8. Is that okay? Should I put the number of college education yrs which is 2 in the last box "Trade school or other post secondary school"? Your help is much appreciated.

Hi,

count primary+secondary + hsc= 12 ..
bsc = 4 yrs .. (bba for me)

that's how i submitted my .. as per my consultant

shuhash, what number did you put in "University/college" field? 4 yrs or 6 yrs?

for university i put 4 years but it took me 5 to complete my bba. but i did mention it in the section where it asked duration in that university ....

you would see a box asking how many years of formal eduaction you have .. i have put ..

12 (ssc+hsc) +4 (bba)+2 (mba)

but in another section they ask for institution info and i mentioned start/ graduation date ... but it was a 4 year degree that took me 5 years to complete..

Thanks Suhash, just one more thing.. in which box will I put '2' yrs for HSC? "Secondary/high school" or "Trade school or other post secondary school"?

i have put that hsc as high school graduation .. actually in US and Canada they consider HSC as high school graduation ... i am currently in US and pretty familiar with the education system... ..
