I read somewhere in this forum that CIC will start processing the Sept intake after 1st May. Can anyone share some information about this?

May be...coz they have to complete all previous given applications...but there are people who got the visa early.

That what I was told when I spoke to the local vfs representative in Kuwait. The time frame they gave me is three months prior to departure. So anytime during the month of May will be fine.

I have been awarded the Visa on 8th April for Sep. intake, So I don't believe that there are any restrictions regarding the time of issuing.

That's great. Assuming that applied from UAE, how long did it take?
 
It took around 2 months to get the visa stamped on my passport

Would be helpful if you could brief me on the below queries:

When we submit our documents at the VFS (in my case Kuwait), do we have to submit the passport along with it? Or, Should we submit it only if they ask for it?

Does it really take that long to get the visa stamped or is just case-by-case basis?

They won't ask you to submit the original passport instead you have to take the photocopy of complete pages and submit. All the applications from Kuwait is processed at Abu Dhabi Embassy. The processing time is minimum 21-42 working days (not calendar days).
If the visa is approved, they will ask you to submit the original passport.

Is it ok if I show my own Indian Bank Statements? I'll be showing my kuwait bank statement for one year but most of my funds are in my Indian account in fixed. Is it necessary to show our funds in Canadian dollars or an equivalent amount would suffice? This is because when I mailed SBI with regard to showing my funds in Canadian dollars they told that I could only get my bank statement in Rupees since my account is in India. There must be some way.
Do I have to show the whole expenses for two years or just 38000-40000CAD (expenses for one year as mentioned in the acceptance letter for uottawa)?
I'm going to India this month to arrange all the documents so any info would be really helpful.
 
Do you have sufficient amount in your Kuwait bank? You can also include a copy of your FD in India to show ties. Make a table in your personal statement and show the amount in INR, CAD, KD. Send me your email Id and I'll send you an example.
