Hi guys,

Last week, I applied for a US visa and was denied because my work permit for Canada will be expiring next week. The plan was to go to the US and return before the work permit expires and apply for a new work permit when I get back so I can be on "Implied Status" and keep working until it is approved. Here's the thing- I want to apply for the US visa again and I will this time apply for the extension of the work permit. Do you think that will be good enough to have the visa granted and what is your advise on the best way to tackle it. I will be returning back to Canada before the work permit expires.

Your advise on this matter will be very much appreciated!

You would probably be much better off asking your question on a US immigration forum.

However if I had to guess, I think it probably won't make much difference if you apply to extend the work permit. I would wait until your work permit extension has been approved before you try applying for the US visa again.
