Thanks to all of you!!! My wife asked me to post on here that she is going to Ankara for her visa on Monday July 15. Is any else going on that day? If yes... Maybe you can meet each to celebrate!!!

so i decided to go onto the website for canadian embassy in ankara and I saw this OH SO LOVELY status

"Alert - Strike Action
The Visa Section in Ankara is currently being affected by strike action. For more information, please visit the information page at the Citizenship and Immigration site."



why does this have to happen to us

I dont see anything about Ankara, the last I heard from someone in the office in Ottawa was only effecting African nation and not Ankara.

and yet for the past two days we have been seeing so many PPR.

so basically they have been doing very well, for most of us who got the letter, took less than 3 months from the time In process to the time Letter for passport request sent out.

stay positive and goodthings are on the way to all of us

Brunette is right, I just saw it on Canadian Embassy website here is the link : http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/turkey-turquie/offices-bureaux/embassy-ambassade.aspx ....
But the good thing is that three applicant received ppr request sooooo it's encouraging!!!

BTW guys they even went from 16 months to 14 months processing time....

So Brunette don't worry, we will all cross our fingers and hope for the best in the long run or short run lolllllll

The good thing is there have been a few PPR recently so even if they are striking maybe they have some people who are still working *crossing fingers*.

My status is still "Application Received" but hopefully it will turn to "In Progress" soon. Lets not lose hope and faith!!!!!

so this morning i woke up to this email, i think im basically done and once the passport is back my spouse can get his plane ticket and come ? :s if someone would provide me with clarification because i am to excited to comphenrend this

Hi in which category you have applied? if you did in spousal it shouldn't be this long so what is your e-status? if it is "in process" and if you are in spousal category you have to get PPR by now so I recommend to contact visa office and ask them about it.

my original application date may 2012- the fee was requested june 12 2013 it says in process i called to make sure they got it, does anyone know how long after you make the fee payment it takes to get ppr? or its anyones guess at this point? i havent seen my husband in so long!

So I think you should have him by September or October.
