:D I've officially become a forum junkie, i keep checking multiple times everyday to see if anybody has progress in their files.
i think it is still better than becoming a ecas junkie because nothing ever happens there :(

I knew an Immigration lawyer and recently I emailed him and ask about processing time and he replied it takes at least 14 months in Ankara to process an application and I am really shocked and confused as I see here everybody get it less than a year what do you think does anybody know about it here?

I think they have made a mistake on the processing times declaration of ankara, if you check tourist visa section it is stating that it takes 140 days to process which is in fact only a week

Serhan, have you seen anybody getting their TRV processed in a week? It would be great. We were thinking of applying for my husband, but we changed our minds after we saw the 140 days processing time. We will hopefully be done before 140 days!

my mother comes every year, gets her visa in 3 to 10 days. you can also ask a turkish travel agency or probably the VO, 140 days for a tourist visa does really seem illogical

For sending a refusal letter, it takes them 1-2 days ;)

In the past, Ankara wasn't processing a huge backlog of applications coming from Damascus. I have the feeling they've put all their resources on PR applications and that TRV applications have been put aside for a while...

BCgirl2012, I have submitted an application for TRV and after a week they gave me a refusal letter that the tie for the country of residence is equal to the interest for staying in Canada so I just lost that visa fee and documents which i prepared for the application to conclusion I suggest don't repeat my mistake.
