I have just completed my Bachelor's degree in Microbiology from India, and plan to continue my further studies in Canada and settle there. I wish to pursue a post-grad education in food processing or biotechnology (or related fields). There aren't many universities offering an MS degree (non-thesis) in these fields, but there are several community colleges that do so, and these offer post-graduate certificates/diplomas.
What would be the value of a post-grad certificate/diploma in these fields as far as getting a job is concerned? What chance does an immigrant with a certificate/diploma have for getting a job?
