I.KAT- Today while at work, I decided to contacted my MP's office and by luck I got a hold of an office I had spoken to 3 months ago. I explained the situation in Damascus and how theres violent attacks, bombings, shootings just 2 minutes from where my applicant lives.etc ( the officer knew all about it). I mentioned that I submitted the application for permanent residence since last January,2011..that my applicant was approved for permanent residency, that his interview was completed and medicals received. He told me to be patient as all the files got transferred to Amman. I told him I knew that already and I have waited almost 16 months. I sent plenty of emails to Amman with no replies, I called CIC, I told him that I even emailed the Ankara VO because we were so desperate to find out where his file was. He told me to fill out the consent form ( which I filed out emailed and faxed to my local MP 3 months ago with no replies). He told me to fax this consent form AGAIN to the office. I was completed frustrated with everything. I said it doesn't matter about the wait, we can wait 6 or 12 months, or even 3 years but the problem is he is NOT safe where he is living...God forbid something happens to him then WHAT????? So he promised me that he will keep me updated with new information regarding his application and that he will contact the Parliament building in Ottawa for further information....

(hopefully this call will make some difference)

Grrrrr :)

If it changes, I'll remove it from my profile.
