Married to a Canadian. I read what I could find about Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act but I don't understand. Does this mean we shouldn't put my name on my husband's Canadian accounts or his income will be taxed by the US? I will be a housewife but I have a mortgage on my old home in the US that we rent. Our mortgage etc in Canada are in his name. If I renounce my US citizenship, how will I ever get it back?
