James21333,

As our friend Sambade, says it need lot of patience dear, some cases are completed in less then 8 months whereas others have taken 2 years of time.

Recently, I got MR Request, when i was in Q to do my test I met a family which came for medical like us .

You will be shocked to know that this poor chap has submitted in MAY-2014 :o After two long years they have got medical. He is working in same company from last 10+ years with limited Travel History.

So Lets pray to God and keep ur self little busy in other stuff, yes i know it is v difficult to do but no other choice.

Cheers,
Yameen

Hello James,I understand how you feel right now,but I will advise you to be patient and calm, this immigration process is really a test of endurance and patience. Don't worry about anything, like they said; your file is under review when they require an update they will let you know.

Let me use my own file as example,we didn't get any update when everybody was getting MR mail in July August 2015 until Sept that POF came, then nothing again until April 4th that MR came and now we have the visas, So just relax the updates will come. While you are waiting you can start learning about life in Canada

Thanks Sambade........

Hello everyone
My application was received in October 2014. All went well and I have sent the medical on 17 December 2015 . Since then, my application is still in process. Upon asking the visa office in London they replied that background check is ongoing. How long this might take? Looking at most of the cases, visa was issued shortly after receiving the medical, but in my case more than 6 month passed and no update.

God bless you all.

Hello I don't think there is anything to worry about. When they are done with all their checks they will let you know of the next update.I know an applicant who got visa n COPR after 11 months of waiting nd doing medicals....yours will come aswell better still apply for GCMS note and see things yourself

It is better to reply to the PPR e-mail and ask your PA what is the procedure to submit the passports in the countries where VFS Global services are not available. Because sending your Passport is not a problem, the main problem is getting it back, I mean we must be sure that CIC has a policy to pay for courier charges or not? Because in VFS Global case, we pay the fee to & fro the visa office. Also they take responsibility of completion of the documents (i.e. your pictures and PPR E-mail).

Hi!

Can anyone tell me what is the expected time of PPR after submission of Medical? Please find below my time line.

1. We received your application for permanent residence on December 15, 2014.
2. We started processing your application on February 19, 2015.
3. Medical results have been received.

I submitted my medical on 18th January, 2016 but still waiting for PPR request after 6 months already passed. I also initiated a CSE to London Visa Office but the answer I got is, your process is still under process.

Issue is we are expecting a child in December (2016) and it would be very difficult for my wife to travel in those days if PPR request actually comes. Can anyone guide me what should I do with this application? Should I tell them that my wife is pregnant and you need to extend my landing time or actually wait for PPR and then let them know about it?

I shall be highly grateful if someone guides me about it.

Thanks in anticipation.

(I am from Pakistan and I applied through FSWP in December 2014. London Visa Office is handling my case currently)

I assume I don't have to fill/attach IMM 0008 DEP – Additional Dependants/Declaration form, since I've no dependant.
Hi. I'd like to know; are you saying that since your marital status or family composition hasn't changed since you started your application, there's no need to include the IMM0008 form whne you wanna submit your passport and other documents for visa stamping?
