I don't know why everyone is panicking here.......CIC hasn't finished working on October files....common ppl have some trust......start giving up hope when CIC gets in middle of November and u don't get anything..RELAX AND stay calm....we will get what's written not less not more

Anyone from the first week of October still waiting for the payment? I am October 08 applicant, NOC 0112, Mode of payment is CC and still no news yet. Also my friend who applied together with me (Her application reached October 06, NOC 0113 CC payment) also did not receive any news yet. We are worried as we can see people are getting news for DD encashment for the last week of October already. Any one on the same situation dear friends?

What is the difference between 'UCI' and 'Confirmation of Permanent Residence number that starts with T'?

When do you receive UCI and when do you receive Confirmation of Permanent Residence number?

UCI=Unique client identifier, it comes with your PER mail and u need it to check your ECAS and each applicant who's nominated for are assigned with separate UCI no. The latter one, I think is some no. Which comes with your COPR. Which may be used by officers at port of entry to see for your case.

I called the CIC to ask about the status of my application (it was received last Oct. 1 but I haven't heard from them yet). Over the phone, I'm required to give my application number or the numerical portion of my application number but I don't know where to find this number. Where is it??

I am not sure about it but I think those numbers are only available to applications already received PER.
you may use the case specific enquiry facility to ask about the status.
give your full name, family name,DOB, NOC code, reception date of your application, UCI number if known.
you have to send an email. Go to cic website and search for CASE SPECIFIC ENQUIRY.

but what if somebody who already has a UCI from before? what does that say about their PER or NER? I can access my ECAS because i have a UCI number but i haven't got a PER yet. My CC was charged exactly a month ago. (i am an Oct applicant btw). I keep checking back everyday, including my junk mail. fingers crossed.

UCI will not change according to the type of visa. If anyone has applied to any kind of visa let it be student visa or visitor visa or PR application the UCI will be the same. what he mentioned is for new applicants who freshly applied to cic for PR.

My app was received Oct 7. Noc 0113, DD yet to be cashed
