Hello! I sent my application last Sept and it was received by the CIO in Nova Scotia on Oct. 1. I am applying for Permanent Resident Visa for myself, spouse, and child under NOC 4214 (Early Childhood Educator).

How long should I expect to wait until I hear from anyone that our application is being reviewed, considered, etc? i know the process takes about 12-14 months from beginning to end, but I am so anxious to know whether our application is even being looked at right now. Can someone share a similar experience? How long did it take before you heard from anyone?

Members have previously mentioned here that it is not before 3-4 months that you will hear from CIO. I've not sent my application yet and just sharing their observation.

As long as u sent it before the update. No

Dear Fellow,

As per CIC website,

Form was updated on August 2014 not in October.

And if it is updated in October 2014, please send me the link for updated form and on which date exactly this form was being updated.

I sent my application on 21st October with the same old form updated on August 2014 with form number { IMM5612 (8-2014) E }

All my fellow October applicants....

As CIC now has an updated IMM 5612 E checklist (10-2014; bottom left), will this affect our applications? Will October applications that have already been sent to CIC be affected?

My application reached the CIC on October 2nd. However, I am curious to know what the changes are to this form. Do you know whether they require any additional documentation?

Hey I checked on CIC website. It seems that they have uploaded a new Document Checklist [IMM 5612] (PDF, 244 KB) in October 2014.

I am getting scared now as my application was received by them on 27th October, 2014.

Should I be worried?

I don't think you should be worried about it. I tried to find whether they require any additional documents, but don't see anything new. Probably, it is relevant for people seeking points for Phd, arranged employment and Relatives in Canada (I did not read these areas as they are irrelevant to me).

Hello members

I read the checklist and at some places it says 'original' and at other places it requests 'copies'.

My query is that where a 'copy' is requested are we supposed to send just a photocopy/xerox copy or an attested copy? I interpret that a photocopy would be sufficient.

Please comment. Thx :-)

notarized copy required.

Please help help help!!

I have sent old version of schedule 3 form, payment form and Checklist with application on 7th Oct.

I am worried, as most of people says that this is one of the reasons for rejection of application.

I have checked my consultant who advised to send these forms again which i did today.

What else i need to do to avoid rejection.

Please help

notarized copy required.

Hello,

They are asking for copies only not notarized. Please do not say things if you are not sure. All copies will be verified later upon request or during the interview. Cheers

As far as i know, you only need to notarized when docs that's not in English/French are translated.

Thanks ms.reannox, giftsmas and zakir_ullah for the reply.

I too from my readings had concluded that only photocopies are required. Still wanted to verify that.

Cheers
